I keep ending up with two Homepages on my site, the homepage I create and the default homepage, which I am unable to hide/remove/delete/edit. All suggestions provided in forums have not worked. Can anyone help. Would the PRO version solve this problem?

Hi,
The site has been put offline pending restyling and a solution to this issue. At present it shows a COMING SOON page using a WordPress plugin. Site URL is http://www.rivendellinternational.it
I can deactivate the COMING SOON plugin and put the site back on for you to review.
I also noticed a strange behaviour when I activate a plugin called polylang (used for multilanguage websites).
I followed these steps in an attempt to remove the theme’s default homepage and replace it with my own home page:
1) Created a homepage (Home)
2) Created an About Us page
3) Set up a static page as front page (I do not want my sie to look like a blog)
4) Created a main menu
5) Added the two pages to the menuEnd result: two Home homepages are shown, the one I created and the default homepage showing up like a blog page.
I have been at it for ages and unless you guys shed some light on this I will have to go for another theme.
Some forums suggest deleting a section containing the word “home” in the theme’s header but I could not find anything like that.

Although we are not quite clear with your issue according to what you have said, we advise you to follow the given steps and see if the problem still persists,
1- Go to Dashboard => Settings => Reading and set your “Home” page static front page and also a make a page for a blog and assign it on posts page. Do not forget to save it.
2- Go to Dashboard => Appearance => Customize => Menus =>Primary and see if there are any other pages on the menu except the pages that you have added. If so then you can remove the page or the link .
If still the issue is not solved please remove the “Coming soon” plugin from your website so that we can monitor your website better.
