    Hi, I tried to change the banner image in Theme Options Layout. The options menu shows my new image, but the default image is still visible in the actual pages. What went wrong?

    Hello @ruurik,
    Hope you are doing good today 🙂
    The default banner image will appear only in the case you haven’t uploaded your image through Customize > Theme Options > Layout Options > Default Banner Image.
    Also make sure to click the button Save & Publish after selecting the new image.

    Let us know if you face any difficulty displaying the new banner image.
    Thanks.

    Thanks, but I have uploaded my image through the path you mention, and saved and published it.

    @ruurik – Here’s another way to change the image. Go to Appearance-> Customize -> Theme Options -> Custom CSS and then Paste following code inside the box:

    .page-inner-title
    {
    background-image: url(http://wensolutions.com/themereview2/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/dsc20050604_133440_34211-2.jpg) !important;
    }

    Next select image of recommended size and replace image path of above code with your own image path.

    Here’s is the guide on finding the path/url of your sites’s media files:
    Finding Image Path

    Thanks.

    Thanks, but unfortunately this did not do anything. Does the image original have to be of particular size so that the system discards the image if it is too high? What are the allowed file formats? I am using a .gif image.

    Sorry for the trouble, it seems that for some reason the “enable banner image” checkbox was not checked.

    @ruurik – Glad to know that you were able to solve the issue. There is no restriction in size and file formats of the image.However the image should not be too small or too blur for the sake of visibility purpose.

    Regards.

    Actually, it seems that one has to upload the banner image for each page separately.

    @ruurik- The banner image can be uploaded by two methods, one is uploading same banner image for all the pages as I mentioned above and you can also upload it for each page separately as well going to each individual page.

    Best Regards
