    Im wondering how to make a full width ‘banner’ with a title and link/button below. Much like the one on the home page that says ‘Want to Know More About Our Company?’ in your demo.

    I’ve tried using CSS to change an inserted image size but it doesnt look right and im struggling to insert the text and button. Surely theres an easier way to do this.

    Thanks

    Another question. I don’t have the ‘template’ drop down in the page attributes section when creating a page. I understand this is normally there and if it isnt I have to set up a custom page template. Is this true? If so how do I do this?

    Hello @Logical Growth

    As far as we have understood your issue, there is default banner that appears in every page you visit.
    If you wish to change the banner, you can keep different banner for different page.
    For this you need to go to particular page editor screen and there you will see Layout options, from here you can either enable/disable/change the banner for that particular page.
    And if you want to insert the button much like the one on the home page that says ‘Want to Know More About Our Company?’ in your demo, you need to play with some coding stuff.
    If you want only button then, you need to add below code in page.php file just below line no: 18

    <div class="btn-container btn-outline">
    	<a class="button" href="#">
    		LEARN MORE
    	</a>
    </div>

    Note: Make sure you make changes by creating child theme so that your changes will not override in theme updates. And further more since page.php file is for all the pages , the link you keep in that particular button will be same in all pages.
    If you want different links in button for different pages then you can always hire a customizer to fulfill your requirement.
    Fill up the form and send your details to hire a customizer http://wensolutions.com/#hire-customizer-form.

    And about your second query, sorry to inform you that the theme don’t have the ‘template’ drop down in the page attributes section when creating a page. The layout you see in the demo, all the templates are handled from page.php file.
    And they use plugins like eVision Responsive Column Layout Shortcodes, teams, etc.

    Hope this will help you.

    Best Regards!!!

    Hi,

    Thanks for the help! Saly I dont think I explained properly what I wanted. When entering that code, the button only appear in my header on my pages. What I want is for the ‘Want to know more about our company’ section to appear at the bottom of my pages, just above my footer. I’m not sure what you call this element of the website but what I want is to have a full width image as a background, with text and then a button, just like the ‘Want to know more aboout our compant?’ section. I dont necessarily want exactly that, just a full width, thin image, with text and a a button, to appear just above my footer on my pages only.

    Hope that makes sense!

    Thanks

    Hello @Logical Growth

    For this you need to create and activate child theme.

    After successfully creating child theme, you need to copy page.php file from main theme’s folder to child theme’s folder. Now you need to edit this file in child theme.
    Now in page.php file just below line no: 47, you need to copy and paste below code:

    <?php bizlight_home_featured(); ?>

    After copying this you will see the section you wanted.
    Now after that you need to add below custom CSS From Customizer section.

    body.page .block-section {
        text-align: center;
    }

    Note: The button link here will be same for all the pages.

    Hope this will help to resolve your issue.

    Best Regards!!!!!

    Hi,

    Are you sure the coding and line is correct there? I just entered the code and css in cutomiser and nothing has happened!

    okay im sorry, the correct section was implemented below my footer just how I wanted, thanks! Only problem was I wanted it above my footer so I just moved the code. One issue I have now is that the section is not full width like in the home page. Do I need to change some css code in customise? If so, what changes do I need to make?

    Also, is there any way I can change the picture and/or text so that it is different to that on my home page? I understand it will be the same on all of my other pages

    Hello @Logical Growth

    Yes, you are absolutely right it will be same on all of the other pages and on the home page as well.
    However your particular requirement is possible but with some customization in them’s core though adding some custom field for each pages and so on..

    Alternatively you can always hire a customizer to fulfill your particular requirement.
    Fill up the form and send your details to hire a customizer http://wensolutions.com/#hire-customizer-form.

    Hope you got some hint.

    Regards!!

    Okay thats great! Thanks. Can you not just say how to make the section full width? When I change the width and/or padding or margin it also changes the footer for some reason

    Hello @Logical Growth

    As far as I have done the things locally with your issue, if you have done all the things perfectly as I have suggested then the above code just makes the section full width as similar that is in home page.

    I am afraid to say that you may have done something wrong while doing things.
    I suggest you to do the things from scratch as suggested then it will be all just fine.

    Or else providing your site URL would be much help for us to guide you.

    Regards!!!
