I am using a news aggregator and playing with the different options.
I started by re-posting the news in a new post on my page. Now I am using just the links to redirect visitors to the external page.
Is it possible to open the external page within my site? – Like an iframe? So for example, when the visitor clicks a link on my site they are taken to a post page which displays the BBC news site within my site?
Thank you for your help.January 6, 2017 at 6:14 am #27677wensolutionsKeymaster
The feature you are requesting is not available on the theme and as much as we would like to help you we are not able to as, the theme doesn’t support this customization and this is beyond the support offered for our products, which consists of bug fixing and theme documentation.
Although it is possible for you to achieve your request on the theme with advanced code customization of the theme, it might effect other parts of the theme, like its design and at times its functionality.
It would be wise not to customize the code yourself if you do not have knowledge on programming,
Our suggestion to you is to hire a professional developer for your customization, so that your theme will no be effected in any way.
To hire a developer please follow the link below
We hope it helps,

Thank you for your response. I did subsequently complete the ‘Hire a Customizer’ form but haven’t heard anything back yet. Perhaps because I didn’t give enough information or because I didn’t set a budget (I just left it set to $100 because I wasn’t sure what to do).
If there is a possibility of me being able to pay for the required change I am happy to do so. As I previously wrote – The thumbnails on my page currently open directly onto the external sites using the Add Shortcodes Actions and Filters (Direct link) option. I would like to change this so that the thumbnails auto open a lightbox option e.g. http://www.hefocus.co.uk/draft – this example shows the style of popout.
If this is possible and you are able to provide me with a quote please let me know.

If this isn’t possible. Would it be possible to set the theme to open the posts in a new tab? Again, this would be clicking the thumbnail but then having the original page open in a new window.
