Hello @travelnology, you can refer to our documentation to know the detail walk-through on setting up homepage through widgets.

Have you tried this steps as documented ?

    1. From Customize section, go to Theme Options and inside it there is Layout Options.
    2. Now, here you can set layouts for:

Default Layout: Content – Primary Sidebar.

Yes, it is selected as Content – Primary Sidebar.

In Appearance > Widgets, for Sidebar Location in Sidebar, do I need to choose any option in order for this sidebar to appear on the front page.

I still cannot understand why it appears when I log in, but disappear when I view as public

    Kindly advise

As a theme default feature it should be working. Can you please try once by disabling plugins one by one to check if any third-party plugins overriding this behavior?

I am afraid that it is still not working even I deactivated all the plugin.

I discovered that it is due to Static Home Page. I was told that I need to set it this way in order for the Slider to work.

Is there anyway that I can still have slider on my homepage but below will be some posts on the left and a side bar on the right…seems like your demo site, show that it can be done, but am not sure why I cannot…Can you please guide me?

Checking back your site and now your homepage has the sidebar on the right. Well for slider , there is a Amazing Post Slider available in Widgets section of the dashboard.

You can simply drag it to the Home / Front Page sidebar and configure this widget to pull the post from the desired category.

Hoping that this is what you are wishing for.
