    When accessing the page from an iPhone the ET Slider does not expose the “Know more” button and the page title is not clickable, the ET Slider moves into a slide show plugin. The behaviour can be seen on www3.itinforma.se

    The title just above the caption description is supposed to have an anchor link wrapped into it to take it to the detail page, like the one it is shown in our demo http://demo.evisionthemes.com/evision-corporate-pro/ .

    As inspected your current slider HTML structure, the tags that should wrap the title is absence as a result in responsive view the only thing that is clickable property has gone. “Know More” button is in-built hidden in mobile responsive view.

    Therefore, we would like you to verify or let us know how the sliders are being pulled in your homepage, either from customizer theme options or as a post type ? It will provide some hints to us to debug further on it.

    Thanks

    Being just responsible for our web site I hope I follow you and understand your question. The slider is a widget on the front page.

    I can confirm that my iPhone works fine with your demo site

    Try to bring up the anchored title in slider caption that will resolve the current issue in responsive view. Even if it is shown from widget, it should work like the demo.

    Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks.

    To be sure I wasn’t using an old version of the theme I today upgraded from 2.0.1 to 2.0.5. Unfortunately the same behaviour. What do you mean by bring up the anchored title? Are you taking about coding or a configuration in the widget? Because I cannot se touch options in the widget. Please advice.

    For now, this anchor tag should be added to ET Dashboard plugin file.

    In your plugin directory, browse the file the file widget-slider-normal.php in etdashboard/inc/slider/widget-slider-normal.php .

    Go to line no. 256 to add the anchor link. Your final code on this line should be :

    <a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>"><?php the_title()?></a>

    Finally, [Save].

    Note: This change will be added in next ET Dashboard plugin version. It will not effect your current changes.

    Thanks.

    Thanks, that helped me. But I found a strange behaviour introducing this fix. To illustrate it for you I have stopped the development for a say so you can investigate further. Looking at www3.itinforma I have added the class big-ban in the a-tag. (Just for illustrating). As you can see, the first slider on Cecilia, the title is not incorporated in the button as it should, bit for the rest of the slides it is displayed as expected. Looking in the source code, the Cecilia slide generates two a-tags, one with the empty button and one with the title as expected. Please let me know when you have seen this so I can continue working on that part.

    Not sure to point out an issue without looking at your real code. This code has been tested with class ‘big-btn’ on a-tag and works well. However, as we inspect your browser source code there is no complete url to
    href attribute for Cecilia slider post. May be a-tag closing is missing wrapping up the title.

    Make sure you have something similar code as below on previous edit.

    <div class="main-title">
    <a class="big-btn" href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>"><?php the_title()?></a>
    </div>

    Hmm, this is strange. It is exactly the same code I have. Below is a few more lines of code from the file.

    ——-

        <div class="etdashboard-slider-caption">
            <div class="main-title">
                <a class="big-btn" href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>"><?php the_title()?></a>
            </div>
            <div class="clearfix"></div>
            <?php
                echo etdashboard_words_count(40, get_the_content());
            ?>
            <?php
            if( 1 != $etdashboard_slider_link_disable ){
                ?>
                <div class="clearfix"></div>
                <a class="big-btn" href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>">
                    <?php _e( 'Learn more', 'etdashboard' )?>
                </a>
                <?php
            }
            ?>
        </div>

    ——-

    That code generates the following HTML code in my browser

    ——-

    <a class="big-btn" href="http://www3.itinforma.se/slider/cecilia-persson-joined-informa/" data-slimstat-clicked="false" data-slimstat-type="2" data-slimstat-tracking="false" data-slimstat-callback="false" data-slimstat-async="false"></a>

    <a href="/slider/cecilia-persson-joined-informa" data-slimstat-clicked="false" data-slimstat-type="2" data-slimstat-tracking="false" data-slimstat-callback="false" data-slimstat-async="false">Cecilia Persson has joined IT informa</a>

    ——-

    Two a-tags, both with an ending tag.

    Hello @Samuel

    We have copied you given block of code and checked it locally and it works all fine.
    It didn’t generated two a-tags.
    As far as we have inspected your site we found that you have used wp-slimstat plugin which might be the cause of two a-tags.
    And we have suspected this plugin is generating one extra a-tag.
    So we suggest you to deactivating this plugin and check your site.
    Let us know how it goes.

    Best Regards!!

    Hi,

    I have deactivated the plugin. It’s still two a-tags in the source.

    <div class="main-title">
        <a class="big-btn" href="http://www3.itinforma.se/slider/cecilia-persson-joined-informa/"></a>
        <a href="/slider/cecilia-persson-joined-informa">Cecilia Persson has joined IT informa</a>
    </div>

    My initial issue is solved, but if you are interested in digging further into this I am more then willing to help you doing some tests.

    Removing your solution on my initial issue also removes both a-tags.

    /Samuel

    Hello @Samuel

    As far as we have checked your site you have deactivated wp_slimstat plugin.But still there is two a-tags in only one of the slider.
    But unknowingly if you have inserted a-tags in title of the slider editor section as shown in this screenshot http://prntscr.com/adga28 you need to remove that.
    But if you haven’t done so please let us know.

    Best Regards!!
