    In my menu I have several categories. When I click on these there is a default image there. I cannot seem to change that image. I’ve tried various plugins but they do not do anything. What can I do to change the default image? Do I have to upgrade? Is there a way of doing this?

    Hello @jkeenan,

    Can you please provide the screenshot of the section so that we can provide further information?

    Also if you mean by the header image then you can change it by going to Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Header Image. The image uploaded here will be displayed in all the pages.

    Thank you.

    The image at the top of those category pages. As they are not actual pages but categories, I am unable to alter the default image there. Any help?

    Hello @jkeenan,

    The option to change the header image is currently not available in the theme.

    But you can change the header image using the custom CSS.

    For this go to Admin Panel> Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.

    div#page-site-header {
        background-image: url(YOUR IMAGE URL);
    }

    In above CSS code, replace the text “YOUR IMAGE URL” with your image URL.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

    Okay. Thank you. Just a couple of questions.

    1. Will this still work even if I’m not using the pro theme?
    2. I have never edited CSS code before. If I edit it, and something goes wrong, will it ruin my site?
    3. When you talk about the URL, what URL are you specifically referring to? I tend to upload my images so I am a little confused.

    Cheers!

    Hello @jkeenan,

    Please find the answer to your query below:

    1. Will this still work even if I’m not using the pro theme?
    Response:
    Yes the CSS will work fine even in the free version of the theme.

    2. I have never edited CSS code before. If I edit it, and something goes wrong, will it ruin my site?
    Response:
    The CSS will not break your site. Just add the CSS in the above mentioned location and save.

    3. When you talk about the URL, what URL are you specifically referring to? I tend to upload my images so I am a little confused.

    Response: The URL means the image URL.

    Hope this clears the confusion.

    Thank you.

    Okay, thanks! One final question.

    Can I use a separate image for each of the category pages?

    Also, I have just attempted to add the CSS. Nothing changed?

    Hello @jkeenan,

    If the CSS does not work then replace above-given CSS with the CSS given below:

    div#page-site-header {
        background-image: url(https://thesocraticmindset.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/U.K.-Parliament-768x512.jpg) !important;
    }

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

    That works perfectly, thanks! Is there any way I can use multiple images? So a separate one for each page?

    I’ve noticed that although it does change the image, it subsequently changes the image for all of the posts, too. Is there a way to stop this?

    Hello @jkeenan,

    Yes, it does change the header image of all the pages including post pages as well.

    Also, since the feature to change the header image is currently not available, we will not it as the requested feature and add the feature in future updates.

    As for now if you want the feature then you can hire our professional developer.

    To hire a developer, refer to below-given link:

    Thank you.
