Magzimum Pro
Magzimum Pro is an advanced version of Magzimum Free Theme. Magzimum Pro is a simple, clean and responsive WordPress theme designed to suit the need of Magazine, Blog and News sites. With Magzimum, we’ve leveraged the built-in WordPress customizer, so it’s now easier than ever to make your website your own. Easily add a custom logo, fav icon, web clip icon, social icons, background, custom menu, slider, featured content, breaking news, pagination, breadcrumb and more.

Thank you for purchasing the theme. After you purchase and download your theme from Theme Palace you can choose either of the approaches given below to install your theme.
You can download Themes directly to your blog by using the Add New Themes option in the Appearance sub-menu.
- Download Magzimum Pro from your Theme Palace member My-Account to your Desktop
- Log in to the WordPress Administration Panel.
- Go to “Appearance => Themes => Add New”.
- Click on “Uploads” and Browse the downloaded file magzimum-pro.zip from the desktop where you have it downloaded.
- Click on “Install Now” and then “Activate” to install the Theme.
To add a new Theme to your WordPress installation, follow these basic steps:
- Download Magzimum Pro from your Theme Palace member My-Account to your Desktop
- Unzip magzimum-pro.zip to your Desktop.
- Using an FTP client to access your host web server. Go to /wp-content/themes/ and make sure that you do not already have a magzimum-pro folder installed. If you do, then back it up and remove it from /wp-content/themes/ before uploading your copy of Magzimum Pro.
- Upload Magzimum Pro to /wp-content/themes/
- Activate Magzimum Pro through “Appearance => Themes”, in your WordPress Dashboard.
You can update Themes directly from the Administration Panel using Theme Palace API Manager by following these steps.
- Go to your dashboard My-Account on Theme Palace. Retrieve your API key from ‘My API Keys’ section.
- Now go to your WordPress admin dashboard and access API page from ‘Appearance -> Theme Palace API Manager’ and input your API key and email. Finally ‘Save’ to submit your information.
- You can also opt not to get the updates by accessing License Deactivation, checking the box and saving.
To update Theme though FTP, follow these basic steps:
- Download the latest version of Magzimum Pro from your Theme Palace member My-Account to your Desktop.
- Unzip magzimum-pro.zip to your Desktop.
- Using an FTP client to access your host web server, go to /wp-content/themes/ and upload your new copy of Magzimum Pro Theme which shall replace the old files.
This theme relies heavily on Featured Images. If your post is missing a Featured Image, the post image will not show up on homepage, on archived pages and on Featured Page Slider.

- Open the editor of the post/page where you want to display image, and locate the Featured Image module in the bottom right corner under Page Attributes. Click on Set Featured Image.
- Then you can either upload the image from your computer or select the existing image from your media library and click on Set Featured Image.
If you have just changed your theme then you need to regenerate image thumbnail for post published before activating this theme. You can simply install Regenerate Thumbnails Plugin. Then Regenerate Thumbnails through “Tools => Regen. Thumbnails” in your WordPress Dashboard.
Magzimum Pro currently has 19 widgetized (Sidebar) areas that are Primary Sidebar, Secondary Sidebar, Optional Homepage Sidebar, Optional Archive Sidebar, Optional Page Sidebar, Optional Post Sidebar, Optional Sidebar One, Optional Sidebar Two, Optional Sidebar Three, 404 Page Not Found Content, Header Right Widget Area, Slider Right Widget Area, Promotion Headline Left, Promotion Headline Right, Front Page Widget Area, Footer Widget One, Footer Widget Two, Footer Widget Three and Footer Widget Four from “Appearance => Widgets” or “Appearance => Customize => Widgets” in WordPress.
Magzimum Pro offers exciting Menu Options! This theme supports and recommends using “Custom Menus”. You can create Custom Menu through “Appearance => Menus” from your WordPress Dashboard.
Select Menu Locations
You can assign your custom menu in 4 different locations. You assign it either from “Appearance => Customize => Menus => Manage Locations” or from “Appearance => Menus => Manage Locations”
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Site Identity.
- Uncheck “Diplay Header Text” and it will not display header text.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
You can customize this theme using cool additional features through Customizer at “Appearance => Customize” from your WordPress Dashboard.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Header”.
- You can replace the default logo by clicking on it or clicking on Change Image.
- Then you can either upload the image from your computer or select the existing image from your media library.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Home Page”.
- Then check option, “Show Blog Listing”.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Search”.
- Change the text below “Search Placeholder”.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Pagination”
- Under Pagination Type, select desired option
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”
Magzimum Pro has two Site Layout options, three Global Layout options and three Archive Content Layout options to choose from “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Layout Options”
Site Layout
Once you are in Layout Options, you can Check the box below “Site Layout” which will set our site layout. Further, you have the choice of selecting custom layout for individual pages and posts through “Magzimum Options => Layout Options”, which you shall find below individual posts and pages editor, when you click on them for adding/editing.
Global Layout
Once you are in Layout Options, you can Check the box below “Global Layout” which will set layout for WooCommerce pages.
Archive Layout
Once you are in Layout Options, you can Check the box below “Archive Layout” which will set our site archive layout.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Promotion Headline”.
- To enable Promotion Headline, select “Homepage/Frontpage or Entire Site” option under “Enable Headline on”.
- Then, you can change the default text as needed or delete it to remove any fields.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Font Family”.
- Select desired font below each given section.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Footer”.
- Under Copyright Text you can add text.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Scroll up”.
- Check option “Check to show Scroll Up”.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Blog”.
- Type in the Excerpt Length as in, the number of words, and Read More Text.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Blog”.
- Under Exclude Categories in Blog, enter category ID to exclude in Blog Page. Separate with comma if more than one.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Breadcrumb”.
- To enable Breadcrumb, choose option “Simple or Advance” under Breadcrumb Type.
- To change the separator between Breadcrumbs, use desired separator below “Breadcrumbs Type”.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
You can add your custom CSS that will overwrite the theme CSS for further design customization through “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Custom CSS Options”, in your WordPress Dashboard.
Magzimum Pro supports 4 featured slider types to choose from: Featured Category, Featured Image, Featured Page and Featured Post. For Featured Slider Options, go to “Appearance => Customize => Featured Slider => Slider Type”.
Features page Slider Content is created to highlight your Page in the Slider Content. So, first you need to create a Page and then add Featured Image to the Page.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Featured Slider => Slider Type” from your WordPress Dashboard.
- To enable slider, select “Home Page + Blog Page or Home Page or Entire Site” option under “Enable Slider on”.
- Under “Select Slider Type”, Select Slider Type as “Featured Category, Featured Image, Featured Page or Featured Post”.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
Features category slider is created to highlight your posts from specific categories in the slider. So, first you need to create a Post, add Featured Image to the post and assign posts to specific category.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Featured Slider => Slider Type” from your WordPress Dashboard.
- To enable slider, select “Home Page + Blog Page or Home Page or Entire Site” option under “Enable Slider on”.
- Under “Select Slider Type”, Select Slider Type as “Featured Category”.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
Featured Image:
Featured Image Slider is created to highlight independent images in the slider. This slider gives you full control to upload your own independent image, with title (optional), content (optional), optional link and target. Just use the following simple steps to add in the Featured Image Slider.
Features Image Slider is created to highlight your Page in the Slider Content. So, first you need to create a Page and then add Featured Image to the Page.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Featured Slider => Slider Type” from your WordPress Dashboard.
- To enable slider, select “Home Page + Blog Page or Home Page or Entire Site” option under “Enable Slider on”.
- Under “Select Slider Type”, Select Slider Type as “Featured Image “.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
Features Page Slider is created to highlight your Page in the slider. So, first you need to create a Page and then add Featured Image to the Page.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Featured Slider => Featured Slider Options” from your WordPress Dashboard.
- To enable slider, select “Home Page + Blog Page or Home Page or Entire Site” option under “Enable Slider on”.
- Under “Select Slider Type”, Select Slider Type as “Featured Page Slider”.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
Note:
When you select page, make sure your page have Featured Image.
Features Post slider is created to highlight your Post in the slider. So, first you need to create a Post and then add Featured Image to the Post.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Featured Slider => Slider Type” from your WordPress Dashboard.
- To enable slider, select “Home Page + Blog Page or Home Page or Entire Site” option under “Enable Slider on”.
- Under “Select Slider Type”, Select Slider Type as “Featured Post Slider”.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
- Make sure featured content is enabled.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Featured Slider => Slider Type” from your WordPress Dashboard.
- Under “No fo Slider”, select the number slides as per your need.
- Then, under “Select Categories”, select the category you want, and you may select multiple categories by holding down the CTRL key(windows)/Command Key(Mac) desired page to show in slider.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Featured Slider => Slider Setting” from your WordPress Dashboard.
- To change Transition Effect, select option under “Transition Effect”.
- To change Transition Delay, change number of seconds under “Transition Delay” as per your need.
- To change Transition Duration, change number of seconds under “Transition Length” as per your need.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
- Make sure featured content is enabled.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Featured Slider => Slider Setting” from your WordPress Dashboard.
- Check option, “Enable Full Width Featured Slider”.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.

- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Featured Content => Content Type” from your WordPress Dashboard.

- Under “Select Content Type”, you need to select “Featured Page”.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
Featured Post:
Featured post content is created to highlight your Post in the featured content. So, first you need to create a Post and then add Featured Image to the Post.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Featured Content => Featured Content Options” from your WordPress Dashboard.
- To enable featured post, select “Home Page + Blog Page, Home Page or Entire Site” option under “Enable Featured Content on”.
- Under “Select Content Type”, you need to select “Featured Post”.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
- Make sure featured content is enabled.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Featured Content => Featured Content Options” from your WordPress Dashboard.
- Under “No of Posts” set number of Featured Content as required (You need to save and refresh the page after changing number of Featured Content).
- Then, under “Select Categories”, select the category you want, and you may select multiple categories by holding down the CTRL key(windows)/Command Key(Mac) desired page to show in slider.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
- Make sure featured content is enabled.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Featured Content => Content Settings” from your WordPress Dashboard.
- Under Display Content, you can select “Show Excerpt, Show Full Content or Hide Content” to display excerpt as content, whole content as content or not display content respectively, as per you need.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
- Go to “Appearance => Customize => Breaking News => Breaking News Settings” from your WordPress Dashboard.
- Under Enable for, you can select “Entire Site, Home Page + Blog PageHome Page Only” as desired.
- To change title you can change under “Title”.
- To Select Category you can choose from Category.
- Finally change “Number of Posts” and “Transaction Delay” as per you need.
- Finally, click on “Save & Publish”.
Magzimum Pro has custom social icons for various social networking sites. You can activate the social icons you want by adding in your social profile links through “Appearance => Customize => Social Links => Social Links”, in your WordPress Dashboard.
Further, you can add your own custom social image, title, links through “Appearance => Customize => Social Links => Custom Social Links”, in your WordPress Dashboard.
For externally hosted videos (for example a YouTube or Vimeo video), you can directly paste the link of your video page into the content editor. You do not necessarily have to paste the embed code in the content. WordPress will automatically embed the video from the link.
Basic Setup
Magzimum Pro is WPML-compatible, that means all the text in this theme can be translated to the language of your choice. To begin, be sure you have the WPML Plugin installed and activated, along with WPML String Translation plugin.
For First Time Setup
To set up WPML for the first time, follow their Getting Started Guide.
To begin translating, select WPML (in the Dashboard menu) => String Translation. You should see a list of the strings in the theme, with blue translation links to the right. Click these links to reveal the list of languages you use on your blog and the associated translations. Go to this link for more details.
