Online News

After you purchase and download your theme from Theme Palace you can choose either of the approaches given below to install your theme.

1. Log in to the WordPress Administration Panels.
2. Select the Appearance panel, then Themes.
3. Select Add New.
4. Then select Upload Theme.
5. Click Browse Locate online-news.zip Theme in your computer.
6. Select online-news.zip and click Install Now.

You can use FTP client like FileZilla to connect your web server.

1. Unzip online-news.zip to your Desktop.
2. Using an FTP client to access your host web server, go to /wp-content/themes/ and upload your new copy of Online News Theme.
3. Now, log into the WordPress Dashboard with your login details.
4. Select the Appearance panel, then Themes.
5. You will see the theme in the list.
6. Then click Activate button.
7. Now the theme will be activate and go through the following options to set up the theme step wise.

The demo is divided into different section as shown in the image below:

1. The different sections are described below:Site Identity and Primary Menu Section: The Site Identity section is setup from Admin Panel / Appearance / Customize / Site Identity , for Primary Menu section you need to create a menu and assign its location to Primary Menu going to Admin Panel / Appearance / Customize / Menus / Menu Location. Refer below How to manage Site Title, Logo, Tagline and Site Icon? and How to manage Menus? and for more detail.
2. Slider Section: This section is setup from Admin Panel / Appearance / Customize / Home Sections Options / Slider Setting. Refer below How to manage Slider Setting? for more detail.
3. Online News Section 1 : This section is setup from Admin Panel / Appearance / Customize / Home Sections Options / Online News Section 1 For the widget to appear as in the demo place the widgets in News Section 1: Breaking News and News Section 1: Sidebar widget area . Refer below  How to manage Online News Section 1? for more detail.
4. Black Friday Section : This section is setup from the widget . For this place the image widget in Section 1 Advertisement widget area .
5. Online News Section 2: This section is setup from Admin Panel / Appearance / Customize / Home Sections Options / Online News Section 2 For the widget to appear as in the demo place the widget in News Section 2: Sidebar widget area . Refer below How to manage Online News Section 2? for more detail.
6. Clear Section : This section is setup from the widget . For this place the image widget in Section 1 Advertisement widget area .
7. Online News Section 3: This section is setup from Admin Panel / Appearance / Customize / Home Sections Options / Online News Section 3 For the widget to appear as in the demo place the widgets in News Section 3: Sidebar widget area . 8. Green Market Section : This section is setup from the widget . For this place the image widget in Section 3 Advertisement widget area .
9. Online News Section 4: This section is setup from Admin Panel / Appearance / Customize / Home Sections Options / Online News Section 4 For the widget to appear as in the demo place the widgets in News Section 4: Sidebar widget area . 10. Footer Section : To setup this section you need to go to Admin Panel / Appearance / Customize / Theme Options / Footer Settings. For the menu you need to assign the menus in the Menu locations Footer menu and footer top menu . So you need to go to Admin Panel / Appearance / Customize / Menus / Menu Locations . Refer below How to manage Footer Settings Options? for more detail.

1. From Customize section, go to Site Identity.
2. From Site Identity, you will be able to add various options related to site identity like:

• Logo ( Only available in WordPress version greater than or equal to 4.5 ): It changes the main logo of the site.
• Site Title: It changes the main site title of the site.
• Tagline: It changes the tagline (i.e:Description) of the site.Just below site title.
• Display Site Title and Tagline: It allow to enable and disable the Site Title and Tagline.
• Site Icon: The Site Icon is used as a browser and app icon for your site.Icon must be square, and at least 512px wide and tall.

1. From Customize section, go to Colours Options..
2. From Colours Options, you will see Header Text Colour & Background Colour Options sections.

• Header Text Colour: Select the color available in the options.
  If the preview is fine, click on Save and Publish to apply recently selected Header Text Colour.
• Background Colour: Select the color available in the options.
  If the preview is fine, click on Save and Publish to apply recently selected Background Colour.

1. From Customize section, go to Background Image Options..
2. In Background Image, you will see Background Image Options sections.

• Background Image : Select the image available .
  If the preview is fine, click on Save and Publish to apply recently selected Background Image.

• News Ticker Title: This options enable you to change the News ticker title .
• Top Bar Left Element: This option enable you to chose the element that you want to display in top left side.
• Top Bar Right Element: This option enable you to chose the element that you want to display in top right side.
• Address: This option enable you to change the Address .
• Enable Current Date: This option allow you to enable/Disable Current Date .
• Enable Search Form: This option allow you to enable/Disable the Search Form .

1. From Customize section, go to Theme Options..
2. From Theme Options, you will see Social Links Options sections.

• Facebook Options: Enter the link for facebook.
• Twitter Options: Enter the link for Twitter.
• Google Plus Options: Enter the link for Google Plus.
• Instagram Options: Enter the link for Instagram.
• LinkedIn Options: Enter the link for LinkedIn.

2. From Theme Options, you will see Footer Setting Options sections.

• Enable top footer section: This option allow you to enable/disable top footer sections.
• Disable Search in Footer Section: This option allow you to enable/disable Search in Footer Section.
• Copyright Text:This options allow you to change the copyright section.

1. From Customize section, go to Theme Options.
2. From Theme Options, you will see Post Options.
3. In Post Options you will see:

• Read More : You can change text if you want to use other than “Read More”.
• Disable Categories in archive Page : This option displays/hide Categories in archive Page.
• Disable Post meta in archive page:This Options allow you to enable/disable post meta in archive.
• Excerpt Length: Select number of words to display in excerpt.

1. From Customize section, go to Theme Options.
2. From Theme Options, you will see General Options.
3. In General Settings Options you will see:

• Layout Options: This option allow to chose the global layout . There are 3 different layouts available.
• Disable Author: This option disable/enable the Author.
• Disable Date: This option disable/enable the date.
• Pagaination Options: This options allow you two chose the type for paginations. Available Options are Default and Numeric.

2. From Home Sections Options, you will see Online News: News Section 1 sections.

• Disable News Section 1: This option allow you to enable/disable News Section 1.
• News Section 1 layout Options: This option allow you to chose the layout .
• Select Category: This option allow you to select the category to display in News Section 1 section.
• Number of News: This option allow you to set the number of post to display in the News Section 1 section .

1. From Customize section, go to Home Sections Options..
2. From Home Sections Options, you will see Online News: News Section 2 sections.

• Disable News Section 2: This option allow you to enable/disable News Section 2.
• News Section 2 layout Options: This option allow you to chose the layout .
• Select Category: This option allow you to select the category to display in News Section 2 section.
• Number of News: This option allow you to set the number of post to display in the News Section 2 section .

1. From Customize section, go to Home Sections Options..
2. From Home Sections Options, you will see Online News: News Section 3 sections.

• Disable News Section 3: This option allow you to enable/disable News Section 3.
• News Section 3 layout Options: This option allow you to chose the layout
• Select Top CategoryThis option allow you to select the category to display in News Section 3 section.
• Select Category: This option allow you to select the category to display in News Section 3 section.
• Number of News: This option allow you to set the number of post to display in the News Section 3 section .

1. From Customize section, go to Home Sections Options..
2. From Home Sections Options, you will see Online News: News Section 4 sections.

• Disable News Section 4: This option allow you to enable/disable News Section 4.
• News Section 4 layout Options: This option allow you to chose the layout .
• Select CategoryThis option allow you to select the category to display in News Section 4 section.
• Number of News: This option allow you to set the number of post to display in the News Section 4 section .

1. From Customize section, go to Menus.
2. From Menus, click “Add a Menu” button and you will be able to create a menu.
3. Now, click Add Items and you will be able to Add or Remove Menu Items according to your requirement.
4. Select the Menu locations.
5. If the preview looks fine, save the changes by clicking on Save and publish button.

1. From Customize section, go to Menus and inside it you will find Menu Locations.
2. Here you can:

• Select the menu for Primary Menu
• Choose the Top Menu
• Choose the Footer Top Menu
• Choose the Footer Menu

3.If the preview looks fine, save the changes by clicking on Save and publish button.

1. From Customize section, go to Widgets.
2. From Widgets, you will see different sections to add widget where you will be able to Add a Widget or Remove widgets by going to particular widget section.
3. And the added widget will be displayed in particular section that you have added.

The widgets that are available in theme are described below:

• Online News: Article Section(style 1): You will find options and settings in this widget. Now setup the widget according to your need. See the below image.

• Online News: Breaking News: You will find options and settings in this widget. Now setup the widget according to your need. See the below image.

• • • Online News: Categories Tab: You will find options and settings in this widget. Now setup the widget according to your need. See the below image.

• • • Online News: News Section: You will find options and settings in this widget. Now setup the widget according to your need. See the below image.

1.From Customize section, go to Static Front Page .
2.From Static Front Page, You will be able to set any page as A Static page and you will find Your Latest Posts page option as well.

1. From Customize section, go to Additional CSS.. 2. Additional CSS you will see:

• You can add your own CSS here.

To update Theme though FTP, follow these basic steps:
• 1. Download the latest version of Online News from your Theme Palace member My-Account to your Desktop
  2. Unzip online-news.zip to your Desktop
  3. Using an FTP client to access your host web server, go to /wp-content/themes/ and upload your new copy of Online News Theme which shall replace the old files.
