Select a Theme from the drop down menu
Resto Pro
After you purchase and download your theme from Theme Palace you can choose either of the approaches given below to install your theme.
- Log in to the WordPress Administration Panels.
- Select the Appearance panel, then Themes.
- Select Add New.
- Then select Upload Theme.
- Click Browse Locate resto-pro.zip Theme in your computer.
- Select resto-pro.zip and click Install Now.
You can use FTP client like FileZilla to connect your web server.
- Unzip resto-pro.zip to your Desktop.
- Using an FTP client to access your host web server, go to /wp-content/themes/ and upload your new copy of Resto Pro theme.
- Now, log into the WordPress Dashboard with your login details.
- Select the Appearance panel, then Themes.
- You will see the theme in the list.
- Then click Activate button.
- Now the theme will be activate and go through the following options to set up the theme step wise.
1. From Customize section, go to Site Identity.
2. From Site Identity, you will be able to add various options related to site identity like:
- Logo
- Site title
- Tagline
- Enable or disable ‘Site title and tagline’
- Site Icon
You can set up the front page in two different formats: – a blog page or a static front page.
1. First, create and publish a page with suitable title for the home page. (E.g. Front Page)
2. Then, go to Customize -> Static Front Page > A static page
3. Select the page required for static front page.
4. After this, your current display will change to the display similar to that of theme demo.
The customizer lets you add, modify, enable or hide various features of the theme.
Front page Customizer
Once you have the static front page set up, a number of sections appear on the front page, all of which can be modified from the Customizer.
- Main Slider
- About Section
- Menu Section
- Services Section
- Blog Section
General Customizer
- Font Setting
- Colors
- Background Image
- Menus
- Widgets
- Theme Options
- Reset All Options
1. From Customize section, go to Home Main Slider.
1. Setting Options
i) Enabling/Hiding the main slider
Go to Setting Options.
On checking the option ‘Enable Feature Slider’ the slider will appear on the front page. When the option is not checked, it means that the slider will be hidden.
ii) Selecting number of sliders for main slider
Go to, Setting Options > Number of slider.
Now you can select the number of sliders you want.
iii) Selecting Slider From Pages OR category
Go to, Setting Options > Select Slider From.
Now select page or category as per your need.
2. Selecting specific pages or post for each slider
First,
1. From Customize section, go to Home Main Slider.
and to Setting Options now Select Slider From.
Select page here if you want to display pages. If you do not want pages but posts in the main slider, select category.
Please list all the required posts under a certain category first.
Then,
For displaying pages,
Go to Customize > Home Main Slider > Select from Page
Now, you can select specific pages for each slider.
OR for posts,
Go to Customize > Home Main Slider > Select from Category.
Now, select the category that contains the posts you want to display.
3. To select number of words appearing per slider, slider mode, slider transition and pause duration or to enable/disable arrow, pager, auto play, title and caption.
Go to Slider Property and select within.
Go to Customize > Home About Section.
- Enabling/Hiding the About Section :
On checking the option ‘Enable About Section’ the section will appear on the front page. When the option is not checked, it means that the section will be hidden. - Selecting page for about section :
First, create a new page with a suitable title and include the details about your company in the page.
Then,
Go to Home About Section then select page for About Section.
Now, you can select the required page. - Selecting number of words appearing in about section of front page :
Go to Home About Section then Number of Words.
Now, you can select the number of words you want to display in this section of home page. - Enabling/Disabling About Section Button:
On checking this option, you will be able to enable the About Section Button which will direct the site visitors to a certain page. - Editing the About Section button’s text:
Go to Home About Section then About Section Button Text.
You can edit the text there. - Selecting which page ‘About Section Button’ leads to :
Go to Home About Section then About Section Button URL. Now, you can enter the required URL in the box.
Go to Customize > Home Menu Section.
- Enabling Menu Section :
On checking the option ‘Enable Menu Section’ the section will appear on the front page. When the option is not checked, it means that the section will be hidden. - Editing the title :
Go to Customize >Home Menu Section > Menu Section Title .
You will able to able the Menu Section’s title here. - Selecting Category for Menu Section :
Once you have the category you want to display in this section ready with at least one post created and published within the same category, you can select it to appear on the front page.
Go to Customize > Home Menu Section > Select Category for Menu.
Now, you can select the required category. - Determining the number of Menu to be displayed :
You can select the number of food menus you want to display in the front page. To edit,
Go to Customize > Home Menu Section >Number of Menu. - Determining the number of words to be displayed :
You can select the number of words shown in each menu in the front page menu section while hovering over the menu.To edit Go to Customize > Home Menu Section > Number of words. - Enabling Price :
On checking this option, the price of the given menu will be displayed while the mouse is hovered over it. To enable,
Go to Customize > Home Menu Section > Enable Price. - Enabling Button :
On checking this option, you will be able to enable the Menu Section Button which will direct the site visitors to a certain page. To enable,
Go to Customize > Home Menu Section > Enable Button. - Editing Menu Section Button text :
Go to Customize > Home Menu Section > Menu Section Button Text.
You can edit the text there. - Editing Menu Section Button’s URL:
Go to Home Menu Section > Menu Section Button URL.
Now, you can enter the required URL in the box.
Go to Customize > Home Services Section.
Service Options
i) Enabling/Hiding Services Section :
On checking the option ‘Enable Service’ the section will appear on the front page. When the option is not checked, it means that the section will be hidden.
ii) Enabling/Disabling Services thumbnail :
On checking the option ‘Enable Service Thumbnail’, the service icon will be replaced by the thumbnail. Thumbnail image is the featured image of the page or post selected.
iii) Setting background image for this section :
Go to Customize > Home Service Section > Service Options > Background Image. Now, you can upload, remove or change the background image for service section.
iv) Editing the main title :
Go to Customize > Home Service Section > Service Options > Main title.
You can edit the main title here.
v) Selecting Services from either page/ Category:
Go to Service Options > Select Service From.
Now, select page or category as per your need.
vi) Selecting number of services to be displayed:
Go to Service Options > Number of service’s.
Now, you can select the required number of service/s you want to display.
vii) Selecting number of words appearing in single column:
Go to Service Options > Number of Words in Single Column Content.
Now, you can set the number of words that appears in the services in the front page.
viii) Enabling Button :
On checking this option, you will be able to enable the Menu Section Button which will direct the site visitors to a certain page. To enable,
Go to Customize > Home Menu Section > Enable Button.
ix) Editing ‘Browse All Button’ Text:
Go to Service Options > Browse All Button Text.
You can edit the text there.
x) Selecting which page ‘Browse All Button’ leads to :
Go to Service Options > Browse All Button Link.
Now, you can enter the required URL in the box.
2. Setting service icons
Go to Service Icons. You can select specific icon for each service. A link with awesome icon collection is provided therein.
3. Selecting specific pages or posts for services
First, Go to Customize > Home Service Section > Service Options > Select Service From
Select page here if you want to display pages. If you do not want pages but posts in the services, select category.
Please list all the required posts under a certain category first.
Then,
For displaying pages, Go to Customize > Home Service Section > Select Service from Page
Now, you can select specific pages for each slider. OR for posts,Go to Customize > Home Service Section > Select Service from Category.
Now, select the category that contains the posts you want to display.
The blog section will be updated automatically as you publish new posts.
You can still edit various settings.
Go to Customize > Home/Front blog section.
Enabling the Blog Section:
On checking the option ‘Enable Blog’ the section will appear on the front page. When the option is not checked, it means that the section will be hidden.
- Editing the main title:Go to Customize > Home Blog Options > Main Title.
You can edit the main title here. - Determining number of words appearing in sticky post:Go to Customize > Home Blog Options > Number of words for sticky post.
Here, you will be able to set number of words appearing for the sticky post in the front page. - Determining number of blogs that appear in the front page:Go to Customize > Home Blog Options > Number of blog/s.
Here, you can set the number of blogs that appear in the front page (the featured post will not be counted).
- Determining number of words for blog post:Go to Customize > Home Blog Options > Number of words for blog post.
Here, you can select the number of words that appear for each blog post in the home page. - Editing the read more text for each blog:Go to Customize > Home Blog Options > Single Item read more text.
Now, you can edit the text. - Enabling Button :On checking this option, you will be able to enable the Blog Section Browse more Button which will direct the site visitors to a certain page.
To enable,
Go to Customize > Home Blog Options > Enable Button. - Selecting which page ‘Browse All Button’ leads to :Go to Customize > Home Blog Options > Enter URL to redirect.
Now, you can enter the required URL in the box. - Editing ‘Browse All Button’ Text:Go to Customize > Home Blog Options > Browse All Button Text.
You can edit the text there. - Selecting blog from category. You can also display posts from a single category in the blog section.
For this, Go to Customize > Home Blog Options > Select Category For Blog.
And, select the category you wish to display.

Font Settings
To edit the fonts:
1. Go to Customize > Font Setting > Font Family
Now choose the specific font family for each of the given sections.
2. Once, the preview is fine, save it. -
Colors
1. Editing basic colors.
A number of color options are available for texts in different sections, background, menus etc. To edit the colors:
1. Go to Customize > Colors > Basic Color Options.
Now, you will be able to change the color options.
2. Once, the preview is fine you can save and publish it.2. Resetting the colors.
1. Go to Customize > Colors > Reset
2. On checking the ‘Reset’ option and saving it the color options will
change to default colors of the theme.
To set or edit the Background Image,
1. Go to Customize > Background image.
You can upload a picture there.
2. Once, you have the picture selected you can make various changes regarding how it is displayed.
3. Save the changes once you are fine with the preview.
1. Go to Customize > Menus.
Here, you can create and manage the menus
1. From Menus, click ‘Add a menu’ button, you will be able to create a menu here.
2. Once, you have created the menu, you can further add items to the menu.
1. From, Menus create a menu (E.g. “Social menu”) and assign its location to Social Menu.
2. Now, once you add custom links and social media URLs in each of the links, you will get the social icon in the Social Menu.
1. Go to Customize > Widgets.
You will be able to add and remove widgets for the given sections from there.
1. Go to Customize > Theme Options.
2. Custom CSS, header options, footer options, layout, pagination, back to top options etc can be enabled or edited from here.
Resetting all options allows going back to the default setting the theme comes with.
1. Go to Customize > Reset All options.
2. On checking the option and saving it, all the changes will be reset back to default.
To update Theme though FTP, follow these basic steps:
- Download the latest version of Resto Pro from your Theme Palace member My-Account to your Desktop.
- Unzip resto-pro.zip to your Desktop.
- Using an FTP client to access your host web server, go to /wp-content/themes/ and upload your new copy of Resto Pro theme which shall replace the old files.
