Hello – I am trying to customize the front page widget area. I was following the instructions for this theme through your website for sections 5/6/7. However when I place “MP: Call to Action” and “MP: Latest News” and customize them, they don’t seem to be updating on my website. They also are not available through the customization panel like the primary/secondary/ header right for quick editing?
December 27, 2016 at 10:51 pm #26828wensolutionsKeymasterHello @OFFMONEY,
While we have tested on our side, both the “MP: Call to Action” and “MP: Latest News” widgets are working fine and updating as per the changes.
Also, the sections can be modified from the Customizer via Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Widgets > Front Page Widget Area and choosing the widgets to display.
Please check the customizer section and verify that you have added the widgets in the widget area and save and publish your changes.
If the issue is not resolved, please provide us your Website URL so that we could inspect the issue and provide a precise fix.
Hope this Helps,
Best Regards !!
December 28, 2016 at 1:11 pm #26884OFFMONEYParticipantHello – My URL is wwww.offensivemoney.com . I currently have a maintenance mode page applied so let me know if that needs to be taken off. I am currently in the customization page through wordpress using the above instructions which allows you to update and see the changes real time. Like I said, In the widget section I am only given “primary sidebar, secondary sidebar, header right widget area, and footers 1-4”. I don’t even have the option to add widgets to the front page widget area via the customization live update screen.
However, I am able to see the the front page widget area and front page bottom widget area when I go through the dashboard of wordpress. Like I said above I can not see these widget areas from the customization page only through the wordpress dashboard. Through the wordpress dash board I have applied both MP:call to action and MP: Latest news but they aren’t applied to my website. Through the wordpress dashboard I can also see the extra sidebars 1-4 but those also are not view-able through the customization page.
Please Advise.
December 28, 2016 at 11:30 pm #26922wensolutionsKeymasterHello @OFFMONEY,
While we have tried accessing your website through the URL you have provided, we could not access it due to some error in the website.
For the further resolution of the issue, please first make sure that you have set and selected “static front page” to show on your “Front Page Displays” option under Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Static Front Page.
After setting the static page as a home page in the setting, please check for the “Front Page Widget Area” in the section mentioned above and see if the widgets are shown in the front page of your website.
If the steps does not resolve your issue, you can choose to send to us your website back end login credentials to our official support e-mail support[at]wensolutions.com so that we could log into your website and inspect and fix the issues for you.
Hope this Helps,
Best Regards !!

Only site identity, background image, theme options, featured carousel, color options, menus, widgets and additional CSS. As the previous writer, I can get a carousel into the header or a sidebar, but not the center front page as show on the demo. I tried going to widgets page and dropping the widget into front page there but still nothing. url is draintrumpsswamp.com

Glad to know that you have figured out the resolution.
Please feel free to post in your queries if you have any further and we will happily assist you further.
Furthermore, it is always a good idea to go through the theme’s official documentation for general instructions and theme setup here : http://themepalace.com/theme-instructions/magazine-plus-pro/
