I want to exclude a Category from the Gallery section. This is to avoid getting the same posting in both “Popular section” and “Gallery section”. As it is now, a Popular posting is shown both places, since Gallery shows all categories and sort them by date descending. That takes away the whole point. I want to use the popular section to highlight other postings than those in the Gallery section. It can be solved by manipulating the date to make the new posting the oldest. That will move it to the bottom of the gallery. But that will display a wrong date. It’s better to not show it at all. Is this possible? I have been through all the settings but cannot find that option to exclude a category from the Gallery.

Currently, there is no such option in the theme to exclude the categories you want and to make it work in such a way require higher code customization.
So if you want then you can hire our professional developer.
To hire the developer please refer to below-given link.

Also, we will definitely consider it as the requested feature.
Thank you.

My best idea is to fake the publish date of all my popular postings and set them one year back. But that’s not a good solution, since I plan to use it for events, and it looks confusing that an event is published before it happened. Another not so good solution is to only add old posts to Popular. That seems to be what you have done in your demo.
Any other ideas, please?February 27, 2019 at 2:47 am #91789wensolutionsKeymasterHello @oddvar-tveitogmail-com,
We would like to apologize for the trouble.
Since the popular section is set up from the widget, you can select the particular category that you want to display in this section. Also, you need to make sure it is published earlier than the post that you wanted to display in the blog sections.
But we will definitely work on this issue in the future.
Thank you.
Best Regards!!

What we need is a selection for the gallery of the same type that you provide for the widget, where we select which categories to show in gallery on the front page. Thanks!
