Good evening all,
Could you tell me why the php file “details” is not taken into account on my child theme whereas if I modify it in the parent theme, it works perfectly …
March 25, 2020 at 1:47 am #119117wensolutionsKeymasterHello,
Regarding your query related to the child theme, at first, make sure you have created the child theme correctly. Once verify by referring to the below-given documentation link :
https://wptravel.io/how-to-create-a-child-theme/
Further, maybe you have not added the proper code for the edit of the string in your child theme. Also, as much as we would love to help you with this, we are unable to do so, as it requires a detail inspection of the code you have added through the child theme.
So we would suggest you to either hire a freelancer or a professional developer.
Further, do not make any changes directly in your parent theme. You have to make all the changes through the child theme only.
If you have further queries related to the child theme, let us know.
Regards.

Thank you for your reply.
I just checked and the child theme code is respected. But what do you mean by the edit of the string in your child theme?
March 26, 2020 at 5:40 am #119204wensolutionsKeymasterHello,
Actually, we asked that have you added proper code or once verify the code in your child theme?
If you have further queries, let us know.
Regards.
March 26, 2020 at 9:58 am #119244night59ParticipantHello,
Yes the code is verified and works perfectly.
Except that if I modify the “detail” file for example, it does not take into account the correction.
It does not take my corrected file into account while I have respected the tree structure on the server.
I think therefore the file is called by the parent theme and not the child theme.Thank you in advance for your feedback
March 27, 2020 at 4:20 am #119284wensolutionsKeymasterHello,
Since we are unaware of the situation that you are currently facing and also this seems to need detail inspection on the code. so we would suggest you to take help from the professional developer.
Further if you have any queries/confusion regarding the plugin then kindly let us know.
Thank you.
Stay safe and healthy.
March 27, 2020 at 5:52 am #119294night59ParticipantHello,
I just want to know the order in which the files are taken into account.
Because as said before, I modified the file in the details section and it is not taken into account.Thank you in advance for your return,
and also stay safe.March 27, 2020 at 6:49 am #119302wensolutionsKeymasterHello,
Is your child theme active or not?
Also, the code will only work upon adding the code in your child theme funtions.php and through the template file.
So please make us clear what is the code that you have added and where? Please provide in detail so that we can help you further.
Hoping to hear from you soon.
Thank you.
March 27, 2020 at 8:07 am #119313night59ParticipantThis is the code I changed.
I attach a download link via wetransfer.
The line of modified code is on line 107.
I added an image tag with a link.Thank you for your help
March 30, 2020 at 6:25 am #119528wensolutionsKeymasterHello,
Regarding your query, since the file that you want to edit (inc/sections/details.php) is not the template file so it cannot be changed through the child theme.
If you make the change directly then only the changes will be seen.
Also, can you please mention the section that you want to change so that we can provide the information on whether the section can be modified through the child theme or not?
Thank you.
March 31, 2020 at 1:00 pm #119623night59ParticipantHello,
Here is the code to change:
Would that be okay with you ?
Thank you in advance for your return.April 1, 2020 at 2:46 am #119675wensolutionsKeymasterHello,
While making the detail inspection on the code, we found that, although only a class needed to be added, we need to make a lot of changes code wise which is beyond the support we offer for our product.
Also, adding code in the parent theme will make you lose the changes you made so we don’t recommend you make code customization in parent theme.
So you can consider hiring a freelancer or our professional developer.
