First of all thank you very much for using the pro version of the theme. The answers to your queries are listed below:

Ans: The featured content section is set up using the page/post. So if you choose the page option then you can edit the content by going to individual page edit screen

Ans: To create the drop-down menu you just have to drag the menu that you want to make the submenu below the other menu.

Ans: In the fresh installation of the WordPress, there won’t be any default pages/post on the dashboard. You have to create the page/post by your self. So go to Admin Panel > Pages > AddNew and add the new page “Homepage” by your self.

We do not have the demo file bundled within the theme file but we do have the theme official documentation which you can refer to set up your site as in the demo.

http://themepalace.com/instructions/themes/education-hub-pro/As for the menu, you have to create the menu by your self by going to Admin Panel > Appearance > Menus including your desired page/posts.

Thank you so much some things have so far worked. The only issue I am remaining with is the home page. It is the default home page which i found cause once i create one they become two home age.
the first interface which has slideshows is what make me struggle to make it editable.

You are getting two homepages in the primary menu section because you have not assigned any menu in Primary menu location.
So please at first create the menu including the Home page that you have created then assign it to the primary location.
