I’m trying to get my home page to look like the demo (1 large slider photo with three images underneath). When I go to: Admin Panel / Appearance / Customize / Featured Content / Featured Content Type, and try to get it to use “posts” rather than “pages,” it asks for the “Post ID” with a box below for a number. Where do I find Post ID numbers or how do I set them?

To find the ID of the post just go to Admin Panel > Posts and to the particular post . From here, simply hover your mouse over the post you want to find the ID for. Now, take a look in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
See that pop-up box? That contains the post ID.
More specifically, the post ID is the number that comes after the “post=” and before the “&”.
Also make sure you have upload the featured image in the post that you chosen to display in the slider because the slider display the image from this section .
