Regarding your query, you can add featured slider by following the path Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Featured slider and enable the slider on the homepage/frontpage from the dropdown and add the desired pages on the slider. Please refer to the screenshot link given below:
Further, please add image of size 1280*1024 for the slider.
