Hello,
I am trying to use the “CB: Portfolio” widget in a page and have it look and act like the Portfolio section on the front page of the Construction Base Pro Demo (this is the theme we use). So far it doesn’t have the filters at the top nor do the projects look like they do on the Demo. Please help!
Here is the page on my website: https://cabriostructures.com/case-studies-new/

From the site URL given below, we found that you have used the Construction Base Pro theme.
So you can make your site the same as the demo and make changes manually as per your requirement after the demo import.
Actually, regarding the demo file of the Construction Base Pro theme.
Download the ‘One Click Demo Import’ plugin for the demo setup. The plugin is recommended by the theme itself.
The demo file is ready to download. It can be imported using the one-click demo import plugin.
Import demo data following the path Appearance > Import Demo Data. Here is the screenshot that can help you guide to one-click demo import.
Also, refer to the documentation link for more assistance on manual setup.

Hope this helps.
If you have further queries, let us know.

We currently have our website set up mostly the way we want it. If I import the demo will it change everything? I would love to have access to the demo but not have it change our current website, if that’s possible.
Best,

Regarding your query, you will lose the changes you made in parent theme during updates and also while you import demo so please make your changes/customization in the child theme’s function.php file. Regarding how to create a child theme, you can refer to the below-given documentation link.
https://wptravel.io/how-to-create-a-child-theme/
So, to secure your changes you can create a child theme.
Hope this helps.
If you have further queries/confusion, let us know.
Regards.

Where do I find the demo file? The plugin “One click demo import” is asking for a demo file in formats: XML, WIE/ JSON or DAT.
I found the theme zip file in my account > files but nothing jumps out to me as a demo file.
Thank you!
JanaMay 11, 2020 at 1:22 am #122943wensolutionsKeymasterHello,
Regarding your query, you have to add the post/categories/pages manually and have to follow the instruction of the theme to replicate the same as the demo.
https://themepalace.com/instructions/themes/construction-base/
For now, we do not provide a demo file for the free theme.
If you have confusion while setting up the theme, kindly let us know.
Regards.
May 11, 2020 at 9:47 am #122993cabriostructuresParticipantHi,
I do have the Pro theme, (I accidentally started this thread in the wrong forum). So is there a demo file for Construction Base Pro theme?
Thank you,
JanaMay 11, 2020 at 9:37 pm #123028cabriostructuresParticipantHi,
I think we got a little offtrack, I don’t think I need to import anything from the Demo at this time. The CB: Portfolio widget works correctly when I use it on the front page but when I use it on a separate page with “Widgets for Shortcodes” it look different. It’s missing the filter at the top and the project photos aren’t interactive when hovered over. I haven’t had this issue with other widgets.
This is the page using CB: Portfolio:

JanaMay 11, 2020 at 9:48 pm #123029cabriostructuresParticipantBreak through! I just realized I was trying to use the widget on the same page as I had Projects Page pointing to (project archive). Problem solved!
I do have another question closely related, is there a way to remove the line going down the left side of the page? It’s on all of our pages but here’s an example: https://cabriostructures.com/company/
Thank you!
JanaMay 12, 2020 at 1:17 am #123037wensolutionsKeymasterHello,
Glad you found the workaround.
Regarding the line that appears on every page has come from the theme design, you can remove that line adding below given CSS following the path Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.
.page .site-content .entry-content-wrapper { border-left: 0px solid #f5f5f5; }
Hope this helps.
Regards.
May 12, 2020 at 1:23 pm #123090cabriostructuresParticipantThat works, thank you!
May 12, 2020 at 11:15 pm #123122wensolutionsKeymasterHello,
Glad we could help you.
