The free version was 1.0.4 but after buying the pro version, it’s only version 1.0. can i force an update or download an update somwhere? After buying, the zip that was available was only 1.0.

The version number of the free version of the University Hub free theme and the University Hub Pro theme is not interrelated with each other.
The latest available version of the University Hub Pro theme is Version 1.0, thus you are seeing the theme version to 1.0 after the upgrade to pro. Thus, you are running the latest version of the University Hub theme and will surely get updates after the release of future versions when it is available to download without having to force upgrade.
