The slider always shows the current page title in large centered letters. We use The Event Calendar, each selected event sets the page title to the currently selected event. How does one remove the page title from the Travel Base slider? We currently have tried adding CSS code that removes it, but it removes it after each page load. The title shows up for a few moments and then disappears per every page load.

The issue that you have faced might have raised because you have pasted the custom CSS in the inspector.
Please add the below given CSS by going to, Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS
#featured-slider .entry-title {
display: none;
