License Key Renewal

I missed my license renewal email back in December to renew my license key. I just renewed it today and re-entered the key, however, I continue to get the message “License status is unknown” When will I begin to get automatic updates again? Right now I can’t access the customize feature of the theme. When I click on it I get a “critical error” message which I figured was due to missing license key. Please help!
