The version 4.0.9 of the WP Travel is released making it compatible with the WordPress version 5.5 so we have not fixed the issue yet related to the calendar. We will fix the issue soon and release the update.
So as for the filter, there is no issue on our side. Can you please once check the issue by changing your site language to English?

Regarding your query, you can hide the author by following the path Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Single Post > Hide Author, to hide the author from single post page as shown in the screen record given below.

The theme has provided the option to add the header image in the section that you have mentioned as you can see in the screenshot below:
So you can use this option.
Also, if you want to change the color of the header section then add below-given CSS.
#custom-header { background-color: #4c96d7; }You can change the color code as per your requirement.

Regarding your query, you have to create a new post and assign a category to the posts. Then you select the number of slides from the featured type which will make the sliders display the posts you assign in the category. The post’s featured image will appear in the slider.

The demo file is ready to download. It can be imported using the one-click demo import plugin.
Import demo data following the path Appearance > Import Demo Data. Here is the screenshot that can help you guide to one-click demo import.
After the demo file is imported, you can edit the content manually as per your requirement.
