As we have inspected your site you have set the Front page displays to Your latest posts so please set the Front page displays to A static page and enable the slider by going to Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize >Featured Slider > Enable Slider On.

If do not want the current font in your site , the theme provide the options to change the font.

And to set the font as in the demo version go to Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Theme Options >Font Setting and set the Paragraph Font Family as “Open Sans” .

Also here you will find the option to change the fonts of different sections.

For this go to Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS and paste below given CSS.

    display: none;
}
