I figured out the link to the page I was trying to create and then just made a custom link menu item. It’s the parent page to the single testimonials, so i just removed the single page slug…
To be clear, what I’m attempting to create is this:

I have made the individual testimonials and am simply trying to create the page of the collection of them.

This has been very helpful. Can you tell me how to add the “Testimonials” page to the menu. It doesn’t have a categories section like the others. Thanks!

That information was very helpful. I now have my blog page (posts page) and it’s all set up to display the proper categories. I also was asking about the “other Templates” but I see that this question was asked by and answered for someone else, so I’m all set.

This didn’t actually answer my inquiry, because I was trying to explain that the upload button wouldn’t work in the custom option (I may not have been clear enough), but, I rebuilt the site using the parent theme and it works fine there.
However, I have another question:
How do I access the template listed in the demo under the menu item “other templates”?
