Hi there,
I’m new to webpress so am still learning how it all fits together. I’ve followed your guide and changed everything that I can see but am left with two problems:
1) The ‘home’ page that comes up when people type the website address comes up with the blog page, even though I’ve set the static page to ‘homepage’. What I really want is for the homepage to look like the page when I’m customising the theme but this doesn’t seem to happen.
2) The blog page is showing a generic header. It appears that this image was a featured image on a widget sidebar that I’ve now changed and yet the blog page is still showing it. I cannot find anywhere to change this image and it’s doing my head in.
I’d be grateful for any help – I’m obviously missing a connection somewhere so sure it’s a simple fix.

When we inspected the site URL, we found that you have not managed your homepage setting.

So please at first manage the setting as provided in the screen record.

Thanks for this – I had actually had the homepage set up like this until yesterday so changed back and it’s still wrong unfortunately. đ Would it be that the home page is picking up the wrong page template perhaps? Thanks for your help.
ps I’ve gone into ‘settings, reading’ and updated the static front page, then ‘home’ and ‘blog’ but now it’s lost all the formatting that was there previously – slider etc! argh!
