I have bought the Nature Bliss Pro theme, and I have a question with regards to the text, that is displayed in the widgets on the front page. For example, the widget called NB Featured Page. I want to feature one specific page with a short excerpt. That short bit of text is the headline followed by a short bit of the rest of the text. How do I change that text without having to change the text on the page itself?

To achieve what you want you just have to simply place the NB:Featured page widget in Front Page Widget Area. After placing the required widget you will be able to see the option Show Content: in the widget . From there select the option Excerpt from the Dropdown . You can also manage the excerpt length from the option Excerpt Length.

I have already tried that, but what I want to know is if there is any possibility to write a custom text, which will be displayed in the widget, and not just have an excerpt from the given page shown?

WordPress by default does not have the feature of excerpt meta field in the page editor screen . However the excerpt meta field can be add manually . For this you can refer to below link:
