    Hello,

Seems like you have set gallery link to Media while creating the gallery,

we will give you the steps to achieve your feature request. Follow the screenshots if you get confused.

    1. Open the page which has you gallery in editing mode and start editing the gallery,

    Edit gallery

    2. After the gallery editing option opens, set the link to option on gallery settings to none

    Link Option

    I hope this helps,
    Best regards.

Thanks, but no that isn’t what I’m doing. When adding a NextGen gallery, you don’t add via the “add media” link in the post. So as a result, there is no option to do what you suggested.

All I want to do is have the program “fancybox” inactive. I’s a 3rd party add on and it isn’t very good. This is the only theme I’ve ever used that has this.

    Thank you

    Hello,

As much as we would like to help you, we cannot because the theme is not tested with third party plugins except the recommended plugins. But you will definitely get help from the support forum of the plugin.

Please visit the support forum of the plugin https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/nextgen-gallery

We hope you solve your issue.

    Best regards.

But this isn’t a plugin I have installed. This comes with your theme built in. Since you guys put it in, you surely know how to get it out.

    Thx

    Hello,

We think that you are mistaken about the galleries, the theme does not offer any other gallery than the default gallery of WordPress. The NextGen plugin is neither suggested by the theme, nor added on the theme.
As We addressed earlier, you will definitely be able to get your answers from the support forum of the plugin.

Or you could disable the plugin and use the theme’s default gallery instead.

    We hope you understand.
    Regards.

Neg. Not trying to be confrontional, but your not listening, again. The problem is NOT the NGG. That works like a charm. In fact, works like a charm on every theme I’ve ever used or tried. The issue is the built in picture viewer, “fancybox”.

I would like it disabled. It’s amateur in it’s presentation, and a well known security weak link.

    Thank you

    Hello,

As much as we would love to help with this issue but unfortunately, the theme doesn’t support this customization and, as much as we would love to help with some custom code, this is beyond the support offered for our products, which consists of bug fixing and theme documentation.

Although it is possible for you to remove the image viewing extension on the theme with code customization of the theme, it might effect other parts of the theme, like its design and some time its functionality.

It would be wise not to touch the code yourself if you do not have knowledge on programming,
Our suggestion to you is to hire a professional developer for your customization, so that your theme will no be effected in any way.

To hire a developer please follow the link below
    http://wensolutions.com/

And also we would like to point out that the theme uses Photobox image viewer not Fancybox extension, if you are not comfortable with the the extension you should definitely hire a developer to remove the extension.

    Hope it helps.
    Best regards.
