I have spent a while trying to get the feature image on the pages to be full width like the slider on the home page so the site slows properly and cannot seem to work out where this option is.
The site looks disjointed with full width on the home page and not on the other pages, please someone have a solution

To make the featured image of the pages like in the slider requires a higher custom CSS .
But you can at least make it full width by choosing the option Full(original) by going to Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Layout Options > Image in Single Post/Page.
You need to select the No sidebar option as well by going to Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Layout Options > Global layout.
But you want as you have requested you can always consider hiring the professional developer.
