Hello,
I have followed all troubleshooting steps I would normally follow (disable all non-related plugins, revert to core theme) and I do not experience an issue with a core theme (Twenty Sixteen, for example) so the trail leads to the Academic Pro theme I’m using on the website I’m having an issue with.
As you can see, the Google map is not appearing here: https://www.indianriverlibrary.org/event/final-summer-reading-program-puppet-show-ice-cream-social/
I run many other sites (including ones using the Education Hub Pro and University Hub Pro themes) where this functionality works, but this one is just displaying a gray box where the map should go.
I have done a lot of Googling to troubleshoot this and have found seemingly-related or similar issues, but none of the fixes seemed to work or be relevant.
Resizing the browser makes the map appear, but it’s weirdly off center.
The plugin vendor does not support integration troubleshooting with third-party themes, and pointed me to the theme vendor, so here I am.
I have configured a child theme and am able to make customizations if you have any suggestions for things to try. Disabling WP Google Maps didn’t seem to have any effect, but I wasn’t using it for anything so I uninstalled it completely.
TLDR: Events Calendar Pro plugin is configured to display a Google Map on each event page, but when I activate Academic Pro, the map is just a gray box, but works fine when the Twenty Sixteen theme is activated.
Thanks for any assistance you can provide!
August 23, 2017 at 4:01 am #51548wensolutionsKeymasterHello @tadltech,
When we inspected your site URL we found that you do not have the latest version of the theme i.e. version 2.1 so at first please update your version to the latest one and verify the issue .
Also when we checked by activating the free version of the plugin it is working absolutely fine with the theme .
Further more if you have installed any third party plugin please deactivate and check the issue .
Hope this helps .
Best Regards!!

I’m not sure why the auto-updating didn’t work, though. I deactivated and reactivated the theme license and it still didn’t see an update. Oh well problem solved now so I won’t worry too much. Thanks again!

I am experiencing the same issue on the Mag Pro theme, where WP Google Maps worked perfectly on another theme, but after switching it doesn’t work any more.

When we checked for the issue, wp google map is working fine in Mag Pro theme as well.
Please refer to below given screenshot to be more clear on this.
Also for your information, the google map will only display in contact page template.
Hope this helps.
