How do I add more content to the homepage? It’s not news or a blog post. But I want a welcome message for visitors and for SEO purposes. Can I add a block of text under the slider?

Since the theme does not have this feature, have you tried checking any compatible plugin that is able to meet your request.
If you do not want to use a plugin you can also try hiring a developer who will be able to complete the feature request for you.
