I just received an email saying that I have a new subscriber on my website. This puzzles me since I don’t have any registration form enabled on my website, so I’m guessing he subscribed using the admin panel access. I restricted the access to Dashboard to subscribers, but I am still not sure if this was an attempt of hacking into something or not. Please help.
The email I received looks like this:

As much as we would love to help you, but the issue regarding the subscription e-mail through plugins is beyond the support offered for our products, which consists of bug fixing and theme documentation.
However, while we have inspected your site, we can see that you have used a contact form in the Contact page of the site. The e-mail might have generated by the contact form plugin / extension that you are using in the site to create the form.
Also, contact forms are an easy gateway for hackers / spammers to target the site with span e-mails like the one you are getting.
We would suggest you to make the proper use of Recaptcha and other security features for the Contact form that should resolve the issue you are facing.
Hope this Helps,

Thanks for your quick response! The contact form I’m using is from JetPack. I can disable it if that caused the problem. However, when someone uses a contact form I only get the message sent through contact form, but I don’t get a new subscriber on the site. I think the only way to register a new subscriber on the site is through dashboard login. I tried creating a new user dashboard login and I received the same message. So, I am not sure that JetPack contact form created an issue. I guess there is a way to change the login link for the dashboard in WordPress so it’s not the default one. Am I right?January 17, 2017 at 3:05 am #28785
I replaced JetPack contact form with WPForms and enabled Recaptcha. I’ll wait and see if someone else registers. So far I had 2 people registered today.January 17, 2017 at 5:53 am #28819wensolutionsKeymaster
Also consider changing your login password so that any intruders won’t get unauthorized access or spam through subscribe.January 17, 2017 at 2:39 pm #28901
I changed it. Thank you again!
