    Hi Wen,

I noticed the “Services” section only allows you to display your primary menu. However, this seems redundant with what’s already displayed at the top of the page. Is there a way to display categories instead?

    Thanks in advance!

    Liz

    Hello @EZiser

The Services section in the front page only allows to choose the page to display as you can see the below screen shot.

So please make us clear which section you referring along with the screen shot.

    Best Regards!!

    Hi @wensolutions,

Yes, that’s the section I’m referring to. The “Page #1, Page #2” dropdowns only allow you to select those listed in your primary menu. Which is redundant/duplication of what’s already listed. Is it possible to access Category dropdowns instead?

    Hello,

The Service section takes the pages to display services blocks and the icons respectively.

You can create more pages different to that you have chosen to assign in the menu to use for the services section, which works the same way as choosing a category with posts in it.

With special pages created for the services section, it should not be redundant/duplication of pages in the front page.

Please write back to us if you have any further confusions / request.

    Hope this Helps,

    Best Regards !!

Thanks for your prompt response @wensolutions.

Are you suggesting I duplicate my category pages under the primary menu?

For example – my primary menu currently includes the following:
    Home
    World Map
    Gallery
    About
    Contact

    My categories are:
    Takeoff Tips
    Destinations
    Food and Wine
    Other

Are you saying I need to ADD my categories to my primary menu in order to make them available in the “Services” dropdown? This seems a little messy. Let me know if I’m misunderstanding your suggestion.

    Thanks a lot!

    Hello,

We understand that you are willing to add Categories in the Services section to link to different possibly category archives.

As the theme by default allows only pages to be selected under this section, we are suggesting that you can create the pages for each topic you want to add in the services section and choose them with respective icons to link to their individual pages.

    Hope this Clears the confusion,

    Best Regards !!

    @wensolutions,

I added a new Page called “Takeoff Tips” to test, and displayed all posts associated to that category using a shortcode.

However, upon entering services again, ONLY the pages assigned to that menu are available in the dropdown. Is this your expected result?

It’s still to think I’ll have to add my categories to my primary menu in order to get this to work…

    What do you suggest?

I found a way around this. But it was a LOT OF WORK!! Had to:

Create pages for all my current categories
Download a plugin that displayed selected categories on selected page using shortcode (since /category sublinks can’t be inputted)
    Selected those pages under Sections

    Whew!!

    Hello,

Sorry that you had to go through some extra steps. With the theme design the developers decided to provide only pages selection option as a theme feature in the services section.

We will however take your request as a user feedback and will definitely consider the features for the future updates of the theme.

If you have any further queries, please feel free to post them.

    Best Regards ..
