Hi,
I’m using the Pet Business Pro theme for my dog club’s site and like it a lot. However, I am running into a problem on the Front Page. In the About Section I’d like to have several paragraphs. In Customizing->Front Page->About Us I use the Content Type Custom. The Description field explicitly says HTML allowed but no HTML tags I have tried are recognized. In fact, they get escaped and show as plain text on the rendered page. As the field label explicitly says “HTML allowed” this feels like a bug, or I must be missing something.
Link to screenshot: https://goo.gl/FFm3FbI have also tried a few other blocks available for the Front Page, same result.
I have also tried to use the home page content instead but a) it is not rendered as I would expect and b) it always appears at the very end of the page and I can’t find a way to move it to the top.

First of all, thank you so much for using the theme.
Regarding your query, when we tested the issue in our side, everything is working perfectly fine.
Screenshots :
1. Contents added in a sample page : https://prnt.sc/mhqb7g
2. Contents in the front end : https://prnt.sc/mhqbgn
You are facing the problem maybe because of the new editor of the WordPress. While going to the next paragraph, please hit the enter button so that the contents will be seen on next paragraph.
Hope this helps,
If the issue still persist, kindly let us know along with your site URL.
Regards!!

February 7, 2019 at 2:47 pm #90564Hi,
I greatly appreciate the quick response!
Maybe I didn’t make myself clear. I don’t have any problems with contents on regular pages, which I think is what your snapshots are showing.
Here is how I reproduce the issue:
Go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize.
Now select Front Page.
Select About Us.
I enable this section, then choose Content Type custom.
Now under Description (which has a subtitle of HTML allowed), enter <p>test</p> or any other HTML.The page will not render the HTML correctly. Weirdly, some tags will be escaped and show literally (in the above example <p> will become <p>), others will simply be removed.

Thanks for your help!

When we inspected your site URL, we found that the theme version that you are using is v 1.0.0 however, the theme is running in version 1.0.2. Please refer to the given link for further info : https://themepalace.com/downloads/pet-business-pro/
Please once update your theme version and verify the issue.
If the issue persists even after the theme update, feel free to write us back.

February 14, 2019 at 5:34 pm #91057Hi,
I finally got a chance to install v1.0.2.
Please check out lrcgb-dev.org. For the purpose of troubleshooting I have switched the theme over to Pet Business 1.0.2, without any customization.
On the front page, the only section I kept active is About Us. As you can see, it does not render HTML correctly, even though when I go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize -> Front Page -> About Us under Description is says “HTML allowed”.

Thank you very much for the login detail.
As for now, we have fixed the issue by changing the code in your original theme file as there was no child theme activated.
But we will fix the issue and release the update soon.
Thank you.
Best Regards!!
