Hi,
I successfully uploaded a header video and it shows on desktops.
I have uploaded header image as well, as it was the main header before. My concern is that when I open the site on mobile devices, neither the video nor the image is shown. Only the color box, which is for widgets.
Is there a way to manually set image header on mobile?Thank you!
July 16, 2021 at 6:27 am #154225PsinkKeymasterHello There
Can you please check your theme version, if it is not the latest version please update it to the latest version which is 1.1, and also update signify to the latest version 1.3.0.
And check if video shows on both mobile and pc

🙂
July 26, 2021 at 12:42 am #154719PsinkKeymaster@alinatali The video header is not displayed on small mobile devices because speed and bandwidth are usually considerations on phones. This is the default feature of WordPress.
Instead, you can display a header image in mobile view.

although while I was trying to find a way of doing it, I have broken my CSS code … I have explained it in the contact form … do you think you could take a look?
thank you in advance
best wishes

You will need additional plugin like “Header Enhancement” in order to be able to play video on mobile.Cheers 🙂
July 27, 2021 at 1:29 am #154765PsinkKeymaster@alinatali, did you add CSS code within the theme file or just in the Additional CSS ?
If you have changed the CSS code in the theme file you can redownload the fresh Signify Dark theme file and replace it with the currently active Signify Dark theme file on your site

August 7, 2021 at 6:33 am #155543alinatalipovaParticipant@PSINK: if I redownload a fresh SD theme would that mean that I will lose all CSS modifications I have made?
I’m asking because I have customized a contact form ( with different colors ).
I guess what I need to do is copy the CSS ( only the one for the contact form ), replace the SD Theme, and then paste the css modifications of the contact form back. Would that work you think?many thanks in advance
AlinaAugust 7, 2021 at 12:22 pm #155563PsinkKeymaster@ALINATALIPOVA, so you downloaded a fresh theme, Ahh ok if the CSS that you used for the modification is in the Additional CSS then you don’t need to copy and then paste. You can replace the theme
If in case you have added the CSS in the theme file, then you have to copy the CSS first and then paste it into the new theme file
I want to recommend you copy the CSS first and then replace the theme and add CSS in the Additional CSS inside the theme Customizer

August 10, 2021 at 4:21 pm #155672alinatalipovaParticipantThank you PSINK , I did it and haven’t lost anything 🙂
I’m still struggling with my video header … the quality is really bad … the video I have uploaded is quite good, but on the website, the download time is really bad ( take a look: https://vendettamuaythai.be )
do you have any solution for me?
Thank you so much in advance
