If you are referring to the social menu that appears in the header then for this at first you have to create the social menu by going to Admin Panel > Appearance > Menus including your desired custom links.
After that assign that social menu to the social menu location either from the Admin Panel > Appearance > Menus or from Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Menus > Menus Location.

Th social icon appears there only after you assign the social menu in Social Menu location.
Now the query regarding changing the icon that appears in the top right corner, whatever the custom links you have added to the social menu will appear there.
For example, if place the custom link of facebook then facebook icon will appear there.
So please place the custom links according to your choice in the social menu to make your desired icon appear.

When we inspected for the issue locally, we were unable to find such issue i.e. in both the layout the image appears to be of the same height.
But one thing you need to be aware is that the slider will adjust its height according to the height of the image you have uploaded in both the cases. So please try to upload the image of proper height in the slider.
Also since we could not generate the issue by ourself so please post your URL for further inspection.

To make the arrow display in Go to Top section please paste below-given CSS.
For this go to Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS and paste below given CSS.

Now coming back to your query, if we put two or three different menu item on the same line horizontally then all of the menu item will have the same link so it will of no use.

Now regarding the query related to section blog, we are not quite clear which section you are referring to so please explain the section that you are referring and also make us clear whether want to turn off the link of that section or not?

We would really like to apologize that we could not help you with both of your queries but one thing you need to know is we are here to help you guys. We will provide the support as much as we can and that fall within our support range.
For example, if you post the query that can be solved through general instructions or could be solved with few lines of code using the child theme, we will definitely help you and we have been doing so. Once try uploading the image of bigger size cause when we inspect we found that the image are of small size.
Also, regenerate the thumbnail using the regenerating thumbnail plugin.
