KeymasterHello @lindaje,
The Recent Blog section in the demo site is set up using the widget Blogism : Latest News but not Blogism : Recent Posts .
So if you want as in the demo site place the widget Blogism : Latest News .
Now to change the background color of the search box use below given CSS in Additional CSS location .
#tophead .searchform input[type="text"] { background: #00b9eb; }Here change the color according to your requirement .
Also changing its location will effect the design of the site and as much as we love to help you with this we could not do so because it requires higher custom CSS .
Hope this helps.
Best Regards!!

KeymasterHello @cabriollc,
When we checked your site URL we found that the the separator color is uniform throughout the site even in the Footer widget area . Separator line here we mean is the line that appear below the title of the widget .
In your footer section, default orange color is only in contact section and for your information it is not the separator line . The separator color will only work for the line below the widget title .
If you wish to change the color of the line below phone, email , address the use below given CSS .
.construction_base_widget_quick_contact strong.contact-type { border-bottom: 1px solid #f6903a; }Also the CSS previously we have provided is working for other separator line as you can see in below screen shot .
https://image.prntscr.com/image/cCYj70LVSkOPUVYyNt70BA.pngAnd not to forget when we checked the theme locally every option is working fine .
If you have any confusion further please feel free to post .
Best Regards!!
Have a good day 🙂

KeymasterHello @rnb,
You have placed the image in content area of the post edit screen through add media and this image does not appear in the slider .
The image that appears in the slider is the one that you upload in the Featured image section of individual post .
for clear info please refer to below screen shot :
https://image.prntscr.com/image/a2tu84ZkSae_xfF7obMJxA.png
Also there are other sections in the theme that you can add in the Front page widget area like call to action etc .
Hope this helps.
Best Regards!!
Have a good day 🙂 .

KeymasterHello @rnb,
When we inspected your site we found that the slider is not enabled and you have not placed any widget in Front page widget area .
Slider is set using the category . So create the category by going to Admin Panel > Posts > Categories . Now assign the posts that you want to display on the slider in that category and chose that category by going to Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Featured slider > Slider Type .

KeymasterHello @pgb2002,
If you want to use the Education Pro theme then you need to activate the Education Hub Pro theme . So if the WordPress Default theme is activated then you need to activate the theme that you want to use by going to Admin Panel > Appearance > themes .
Hope this clears up the confusion .

KeymasterHello @akniess,
When we inspect your site URL we found that you have not uploaded the image for the each posts displayed in latest News section.
So please go to individual post edit screen snd upload the image in Featured image section of the post edit screen .
Screen Shot :

If you do not upload any image in this section then by default the theme will display that “No image” image .
Hope this clears the confusion .

KeymasterHello @cabriollc,
The color option to change the color of the separator is also available in theme itself .
Go to Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Color Options > Home Widget Color Options > Separator Color and change the color to the color of your choice .
If this is not working for you then you can also add below given custom CSS for this.
#sidebar-front-page-widget-area .widget-title::after, #sidebar-front-page-widget-area .widget-title::before { background-color: #f6903a; }Hope this helps .
Best Regards!!
