Regarding your queries, by default, the trips that are created will be listed accordingly not by the trip departure date.
Further, as we said earlier if you search the trip with the dates in ascending order, it shows the trips in ascending date. Similarly, if you search the trip with the dates in descending order it shows the trips in descending date.
Once verify the issue by updating to the latest version of WP Travel and WP Travel Pro.

Query 1. We do not want the option of customers being able to Book Online as we have separate reservation software.
Response: Regarding your query, we don’t have the feature exactly as you mentioned above but we do have the ‘Booking only’ option which you may use if you do not like to make your customer go through the payment process.
Query 2. However, I would like to be able to show the pricing (adult, child, etc) on each trip page along with all the dates available.

Query 1) When selecting multiple dates for a trip – only one date shows in the search
Response: Regarding your query, only an individual trip page shows all the multiple dates you added in the booking tab. While itinerary pages are showing the first date you set for the trip. This feature to show all dates on the itinerary page is not available for now, so you can consider hiring a freelancer or our professional developer.
Query 2) When seeing more than one trip in the search, it does not show in date order.
Response: Regarding your query, everything is working fine on our side and the trip search is showing the trips with the correct date order. If you search the trip with the dates in ascending order, it shows the trips in ascending date. Similarly, if you search the trip with the dates in descending order it shows the trips in descending date as shown in the screenshot given below:

While making the detail inspection on the code, we found that, although only a class needed to be added, we need to make a lot of changes code wise which is beyond the support we offer for our product.
Also, adding code in the parent theme will make you lose the changes you made so we don’t recommend you make code customization in parent theme.
