I am trying to add a shortcode on a page to display a set of posts in a certain category.
but even the simple [display-posts] doesn’t work.Hello @blesses$vr,
Actually we are having trouble in understanding your query . Please mention the plugin that you are activating display a set of posts . Also please share your site URL so it would be easier for us to inspect further .

Thanks for the quick response.
I am not trying to activate a plugin. I just simply want to display a list of posts by category on a page.
So on the page called cars. I want to list all the posts with the category cars. Simple.I am redoing a site for my sister.. still a work in progress

The theme itself does not have such feature and if you wist to have the feature to list the post associated with certain category in page you can try using below given plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/list-category-posts/
Note: We cannot assure 100% compatibility of the plugin with the theme as we have not done any compatibility testing of the plugin with the theme.
