This was a WooCommerce issue and was corrected in yesterday’s 3.3.1 – 2018-02-06 update:
Fix – Added woocommerce_output_product_categories to replace woocommerce_product_subcategories function to prevent outdated theme template files from outputting categories on the shop and category pages in err.
If I add the code code from github directly into php functions, the code works. However, if I try to add the cost with the Snippets plugin, I get this error:
The code snippet you are trying to save produced a fatal error on line 140:
Cannot redeclare education_hub_simple_breadcrumb() (previously declared in /home/healt933/public_html/freddykaltenborn.com/wp-content/themes/education-hub/inc/helper/common.php:52)
I tried the github code you referenced above. It returned a “fatal error” on line 140, which is the last line.
Just wanted to let you know, a few CSS changes have successfully addressed nearly every issue we had in the free version Education Hub, even the WooCommerce sidebar layout issue. Thank you for an excellent theme.
Thank you for your helpful reply. As I was about to purchase Education Hub Pro, I noticed that an annual payment will be required. This will not work for us, as this website generates no income. The blog author is a retired professor now 92 years of age. Our hope is that his teachings will survive in perpetuity. We must therefore continue our search for either a free theme or one that offers lifetime upgrades with a single purchase. Too bad. Yours is the best theme we have seen thus far for this professor’s content and writing style. That said, we certainly understand the business necessities of your pricing model, and wish you every success in the future.
