Hi guys, I hope you are well.
I successfully installed a child theme via Cpanel, however, when it come to making edits on the child theme (which was calling styles and functions from the parent theme), they were not translating correctly as a result.
When I double-checked that child theme was working since install and activation, it had 2 issues with what appeared to be 2 functions.
1) Used on Homepage class ‘Gallery Slider’
function was:
<ul class=”slick-dots” style=”display: block;” role=”tablist”>
the dots appeared to be blown up after child theme installed, however, the function DID work.
2) Used on Homepage within same Element ‘Gallery Slider’
function was:
<button type=”button” data-role=”none” class=”slick-prev slick-arrow” aria-label=”Previous” role=”button” style=”display: block;”>Previous</button>
AND
function was:
<button type=”button” data-role=”none” class=”slick-next slick-arrow” aria-label=”Next” role=”button” style=”display: block;”>Next</button>
For both above, the actual functions worked after child theme installation, they just appeared to be broken inline with all other function’s styling. I.E – not showing the typical button icon, rather, it appears broken and distorted.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Actually, we are not quite clear about your issue. Can you explain how did you create the child theme?
Further, you have talked about the function but inserted HTML code and your issue is also quite not clear.
So, please explain your issue with the proper screenshot or the screen record so that we can understand your query properly and help you further?

Apologies for my lack of clarity.
I made a new folder here: public_html/wp-content/themes named: ‘example-child’
I then made a style.css and a functions.php file here: public_html/wp-content/themes/example-child
to code the style.css and function.php files I used to this manual: https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/
Everything seemed to work fine, apart from;
1) the buttons here for the gallery slider are blown up
2) the slider arrows here are styled wrong and looked distorted
All of the above happened when the child theme was activated. The site is currently back on the parent theme so these issues aren’t actually visible on live site.

Thanks for your response above, I have followed the documentation given regarding child-theme creation. However, the issues mentioned in the previous post are still happening once I have made the child theme as per your instructions. Please see the screenshots below:
buttons are broken (not all visible and are all enlarged) which allow the user to select options on ‘Main Slider’ section. Space below this section (and above the ‘services’ element) wasn’t there before child-theme was activated.
In the top-right of the screenshot^ – the arrows to slide the ‘Gallery Slider’ appear broken after child theme install and activation. They are facing wrong way and look distorted, however, they do function as they are supposed to.

I have left the website with the errors on for now so you can see it in live form. Please can you check my child theme? I am 100% sure I have created it correctly, created the files within it correctly as well as the enqueuing code.
