    Hi!

I need to change the word “Home” to “Hem” (swedish translation) in the breadcrumbs, but I can’t figure out how to do that.

    Can you help me?

    Thanks!

    Hello @fred1,

All the strings in the theme files are translation ready and cab be translated to your desired language by creating and using .po and .mo files.

For more info on translating translation ready themes, please see the link here :

If you have any queries further, please feel free to post them.

    Hope this Helps,

    Best Regards !!

    Ok, thanks!

After some reading about .po and .mo files I understand that I need to create a child theme?

So far in my editing of my webpage I have not made a child theme. So my question is, if I make a child theme now. What happens with all of the content that I already have on my website?

    Best regards!

    Hello @fred1,

You do not need to crate the child theme . Theme is already translation ready so you need to simply follow below steps :

At first create the “languages” folder in the location, themes > mediclean.

Create the .pot file using the software like Eazy Po .

Place the .pot file inside the languages folder you have created .
Using this file you can translate to any language you want.

For this you can use any get text editor software like :

    https://poedit.net/

You can download the software where you can see many option for the translation.
Now you can choose Create new translation and then select the language of your choice .
Here you can begin to translate the string of you choice and save it. Now it will create .mo and .po file in the theme languages folder.

Also please go to Dashboard -> Settings -> General and on the bottom you can see Site Language option change it to your language.

    Hope this helps.
