Hi, I am trying out the clean commerce theme and really am liking it. I would like to have a featured carousel that displays Links to pages under the “Featured” category. I have it set to “Enable Carousel on Static Front Page” and have the category “Featured” selected, but it does not appear. I am guessing I need a shortcode to display it?

As far as we have checked the theme locally it is working absolutely fine .

So in order to make the featured carousel work please make sure you have Chosen option Static Front Page and Shop page by going to Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Featured Carousel > Carousel Type > Enable Carousel On. Then select the Featured Category Option from Select Carousel Type . Finally select your desired category to display in that section.
Also make sure you have uploaded the image in Featured Image section of particular post that of the category you have chosen.

Thank you for your prompt response! I think the issue might be that I am trying to use the carousel with pages rather than posts. Does the theme support that? Here are my settings:

https://prnt.sc/g3xl3yI verified in the code it is only looking at post_type => ‘post’. I can create an addon to also look at pages, but it seems like it would be easily added to the core theme. What are your thoughts?

The theme has only option to chose from the category to show in Feature carousel section.
As much as we would like to help you we are not able to as, the theme doesn’t support this customization.
Also it would be wise not to customize the code yourself.
Our suggestion to you is to hire a professional developer for your customization, so that your theme will no be effected in any way.

I am a developer and a WP plugin developer at that. I have made a simple plugin to allow pages to be included in the featured carousel. It is very simple, but it would be nice to add this functionality into the core theme. It could be as simple as a one line change. For now I will use my plugin. Thank you!
