Is there a way to set the featured image of a post to show up only on the homepage of my site but not on the actual page of the post?

If you don’t want to show the image on the actual post/page in each and every posts/page you visit you can do it by going to Admin Panel / Appearance / Customize / Theme Options / Layout Options. Here you will see Image in Single Post/Page option and select No Image option from here.
But if you want to disable in single page/post then you need to go to particular page/post editor screen and then in Theme Settings Tab you will see Choose Image Size in Single Post/Page option. Now choose No Image option here.
