I purchased flat commerce pro and when I try to upload the zip I get an error that says failed to write file to disk.

As much as we would love to help you, the error you are explaining is not a theme issue rather it is mainly caused by file permission issue. Which means you will need to provide proper permission to all your WordPress file and directory.

If you continue to face this error please contact your hosting service provider, we are sure they will be able to fix your issue.
