ParticipantHello, I have been using your education hub theme for a while until recent when the child theme started displaying the parent theme is missing
The website I have problem with is Acadel.org
I will be expecting your reply thanksJuly 9, 2018 at 12:50 am #75213wensolutions
KeymasterHello @froshdimeji,
First of all thank you very much for using the theme.
As for the issue please check the following things:
– Is your parent theme complete and what is the exact spelling of the parent theme’s name in its style.css. Uppercase and lowercase are important.
– Is the child theme directory named parentname-child. It should be in the themes directory, not in a subdirectory of the parent theme.
– Does the child theme’s style.css have the line Template: parentname in its header. Beware: NOT Template: parentname-child
Make sure you check all of the steps and correct if anything goes missing.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards!!

ParticipantThanks for your reply.
Please what do you mean by is my themes complete? I have been using education hub with it child since two years ago and the template name I used is “education-hub”. I think what cause the problem was when I updated the themes to its latest versionJuly 9, 2018 at 6:32 am #75237froshdimeji
ParticipantI discovered that it was a space before education-hub that is causing the problem, so after removing the space the error “the parent theme is missing” disappear but the problem still persist.
Whenever I enable the child theme, my single.php file do not load but page.php aND others are loading on activating back the parent theme the single.php i.e my posts start loading. Please what could be wrong in the child theme.
At this period it is not displaying any errors, thanks in advance.July 9, 2018 at 6:41 am #75239froshdimeji
ParticipantBelow is the error my posts are returning “This page isn’t working
acadel.org is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500”
And yes it is not a server side error, because the error only appear when I enable the child themeJuly 9, 2018 at 6:53 am #75242wensolutions
