These products cannot be specified in the admin, but can be influenced by grouping similar products in the same category or by using the same tags.
The issue might have caused because you may have assigned the product to same tags . As the related product are bundled using tags as well , group different product with different tag and verify the issue .

Query#1: The feature to change the color of the contact number and contact email in top header is available in the theme.
For this go to Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Color Options > Top Header Color Options > Links Color and change the color as per your wish .
Query#2: To change the color of the left line to the secondary title in the testimonial widget use below given in Additional CSS location .
#sidebar-front-page-widget-area .construction_base_widget_testimonial_slider .widget-subtitle { border-left: 5px solid #a46497; }Change the color code as per your requirement .

Related products is done by the Product Category. It pulls products from your store that share the same tags or categories as the current product.
So to restrict a product from showing something unrelated, you’ll need to make sure they don’t share a category.

The slider of the About template is working absolutely fine when we again checked the about template .
So please once try by placing the ID again . Also make sure you have uploaded the image in each post that you have used the ID of .

For this go to Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS and paste below given CSS.

In the blog post only your recent post that you have created will be listed .
However the theme has also provided the option where you can exclude the category to not display in the blog post .
For this go to Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Blog Options > Exclude Categories in Blog and list the ID of the Category that you have chosen to display in the Testimonial section .

For the issue #1. we have noted this issue as the known issue and we will release the update soon fixing the issue . For now we would like to suggest you to use some other transition effect available in the option .
As for the issue #2 , For the Testimonial section the theme has provided the option to chose the category that you want to display in the section. Category can only be created for the post type so your blog posts is displayed.
So for this section create the posts with the desired content and images assigning them to a specific category . Then finally chose that category to display in this section . In this way you will only have your desired post displayed .

For the slider section you do not need to add any sort of shot code .
For this you can simply go to Admin Panel > Appearance > Sections > Slider and enable the slider choosing the option Static Front Page in Enable on option. After this select your desired page that you want to display in slider .

When we checked the latest version of the theme locally, the theme is working fine .
The issue is generated in your site because of the short-code that you have used .
Please check weather you have included the short-code for previously activated theme and forgot to remove while activating Academic theme . If yes remove the short code and verify the issue .

You are getting such format because you have enabled the Jetpack mobile mode .
So to remove such format in responsive view disable the jetpack mobile theme by going to Admin Panel > Jetpack > Setting > Theme enhancements .

Thank you very much for the appreciation .
The section you have marked is the home content . So now to display as in the demo you have to place your desired content in the content area of home page edit screen and as the image comes from featured image section you have to upload the image of your choice in featured image section .
Here home page is refereed to as the page that you have assigned for Front page by going to Admin panel > Appearance > Customize > Static Front Page .

Also make sure you have enabled the Home page content by going Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Home Page Options .
