As for the image size as mentioned in another topic use the image of around 600X600 px for a blog post and for the slider you can use the image of size greater than 1280X1024px

In your code the anchor tag that you have use does not have the content in between.

For example:

Your Code:

Code that contains content.

<a href="#" class="desktop active" title="View Desktop Version">Desktop</a>

Here “Desktop” is the content.
