Now to apply the slider only in the Front page you have to create and activate the child theme .

You can also create the child theme using the plugins. Below is the link to one of them.

To center the site title and tagline use below CSS .

For this go to Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS and paste below CSS.

#site-identity {
  margin-top: 60px;
}

Similarly to decrease the gap use below CSS and paste the CSS in above given location .

#main-nav {
   margin-top: 7px;
   }

You can adjust the values according to your need .

how do I remove visited link color from the title?

And we are not clear which particular section you are talking about . So please explain it properly with the screen shot.

To change the background image of the single page please use below CSS.

For this goto Admin Panel > Appearance < Customize and paste below given CSS.

body.page-id-361 {
    background-image: url(http://localhost/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/6n1ULP.jpg);
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
}

Change the URL of the image to your image URL and change the id of the page to your page id . If you want the background image to appear in multiple page then add the page id separated with comma .

    background-image:url('example.gif');
    background-repeat:no-repeat;
   }

As we have inspected you site we found that you have activated the jetpack Mobile Theme which is changing the entire layout.

So please go to Admin Panel > Jetpack > Settings > Appearance > Mobile Theme and deactivate the Mobile Theme.
