Hello,
Regarding your query, the plugins that show up in the recommended section are the plugins recommended by the theme. And it shows only TP Education in the recommended plugin section. If you have got other plugins then you can install and activate.
You can also add the other plugins to the theme. Since we haven’t worked in the compatibility with the plugins some plugins might not cause anything while some might cause third party plugin conflicts.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
wensolutionsKeymasterHello,

As for the dropdown issue, you can add below given CSS following the path Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS to resolve the issue of the responsive menu.
.lite-version #masthead .main-navigation ul#primary-menu > li.current-menu-item > a { color: #333; }
Hope this helps.
If you have further queries, let us know.

Regarding the issue about the social icon in the menu section, you have to add a social link like Twitter, Instagram, etc and not the random custom links because of which the icons haven’t been displaying. So make sure you have added the social links in that section.
As for the dropdown issue, you can add below given CSS following the path Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS to resolve the issue of the responsive menu.
.lite-version .main-navigation ul#primary-menu > li:hover > a { color: #600E3F; }
Also for your information, the menu is working fine on our side as you can check the demo:

Hope this helps.

Glad you found the workaround.
Regarding the line that appears on every page has come from the theme design, you can remove that line adding below given CSS following the path Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.
.page .site-content .entry-content-wrapper { border-left: 0px solid #f5f5f5; }
Hope this helps.

wensolutionsKeymasterHello,
Regarding your query about the excerpt, you get the feature which theme and WordPress offer but rather than that you have to hire customization as it requires code customization.
