If i make a browser window small enough and open side menu it is not automatically closed when i maximize the window. And more: menu button hides, so i have to make the window small again and press the button to hide side menu.

Actually it is not the issue . If you open the menu in responsive view then you can close it in responsive view itself and switch back to desktop mode . Or you can simply refresh the page .
